Emi walked through the crowded hall. Some girls were so short that Emi had wondered if they were even in high school. Of course it wasn't odd to see a few i've-been-here-for-5-years but that wasn't that common. Emi still thought that it was hard to imagine how she had even ended up at this twisted school, not that she had done anything wrong. More or less just got put here. Emi had started school about a week ago, hardly any friends. It was sorta weird, at a normal school the new kid would be popular but here hardly anyone noticed her. Emi had half hoped that the pink strikes in her hair would sorta be notice. But you never did know. Every school was different from the next.
Emi open the door leading into the lunch room. One thing that was like normal schools was the gross smell coming from everywhere. They cooked the oh-so-famous Mac&Cheese that tasted more like toothpaste then anything cheesy. A few kids were dumping over their plates and seeing how long it took the whole mass of noodles to fall. It wasn't nautural for food to seem to be cemented onto a plate, or at least according to the Food Guide Perimind. No, they lunch ladies probably had never even heard of that. She looked around the room to see if there was anyone that she could sit with. Seeing an empty table, Emi ran over to it and set down her sac lunch.
No one was coming even close to her table. That didn't really surprise Emi at all. Other kids were laughing and talking to their tight knit groups. If only Emi could brake those threads then maybe she could get a friend. Here there weren't many scenes or visual kei. Emi was on the brink of starting a How to do Visual-Kei Hair klinick but who would show up. Most kids here just had boring, flat, black hair. No one had any idea how much Emi wanted to grab some hair spray and go after people's hair.

The small shy Mikari wasnt too much for bad food. No having had a sensative stomache since he was very young he often times went for the organic foods such as things grown from the earth and such. Most would call him a vegan, others a pansy, but when you can barley stand the taste of burnt food it made life a bit more.....tolerable.
So after grabbing a already prewrapped bottle of water, since he didnt trust the cooks at this school even with drinks, and an apple he left the line. Of course finding that he was, once again, by himself, he wasnt too happy. Deciding to take a chance on something he walked over to where the blonde with oddly colored hair sat.
"U-Um....e-excuse me." he stuttered looking down while shuffling his feet.
"C-Could I sit with y-you s-since everywhere else seems full?" he asked twirling his thumbs the best he could while he held his apple and water bottle.

Emi smiled, finally someone had sucked it up and sat over here. Yeah sure she said taking a sip of the weird bottled water that she had gotten from the store. Lemon flavored, maybe. Emi could never tell what flavor something was if it was artificial. It was better then drinking soda anyway. But Emi could never really drink plain water or milk, both were just so boring. In Emi thought Why drink something if it isn't fun? Well some students liked the more healthy things. Emi had tried sport drinks but after looking at the back and finding the high sodium level, she quit for good. So... Emi said trying to think of a conversation Your in East Wing number 4, right? Emi had just put her stuff down at her dorm but actually never talked to anybody, just saw his name on the board list. They were both in the same Dorm.
Emi opened the brown paper bag taking out a turkey, lettuce sandwich. It wasn't her first choice, but her parents hadn't sent her here with much money and bread, lunch meat, and lettuce wasn't that expensive. It was sorta funny that she wouldn't come here without money considering how much money she did have at home. Her father, Kyo, had started a successful computer business. It was sorta understandable considering no parent really wants to send their kid here. Well some might but that wouldn't be a very good thing in the family name.

Mikari smiled slightly when the girl had said yes, then nodded when she brought up the rooming settings.
"Uh....yeah. When I had first got here I was the only person in the room. It feels nice to actualy not be alone." he said taking a bite into his apple.

When I came to the school this morning I noticed your stuff. Emi said. At least she was getting to know her roommate. It didn't really make much sence to her why they would mix boys and girls into the same room. Course thinking about why kids were sent here, she couldn't blame them. But if people were bi like Emi then it wouldn't even matter who she was paired with. Swallowing her bite of the sandwich, Emi said You know what I wonder, is how they even chose people to be in different dorms. Doesn't it seem sort of random? Random was an understatement. It wasn't really by last name or gender. It wasn't even with grades.
Looking around the room, Emi noticed that no one more came into the room. She had started to wander, was anyone straight. Surely someone must want to go to school here. But if Emi had the choice, she would be as fare away as possible, back at her old normal school. Where everyone didn't care who you were or if you wanted to change. Just a school. Of course Emi didn't like all of the kids at her old school there were still less and it was a smaller building. La Campana was huge, probably an A school.

"Ah I guess that kinda gave it away then." he said his cheeks and ears turning red a bit. Now feeling slightly akward he shuffled his feet under the table nibbling his lower lip. He looked back up when he heard the girl talk about the rooming situation.
"Hmm well my cousins make jokes about the rooming situation all the time. They say the people who set the rooming was probably drunk or on drugs." he said nervously.

Emi laughed. Yeah drugs are pretty close, I would guess. That actually did make some sense. No one in their right minds would come up with a list like that. Maybe they just take a pencil and choose randomly. Well that idea at least would show them in a better light. Emi thought that organization would be a better way to got around it. She could just imagine a girl just coming up and suing the school because of it. Now days, people sued for about anything. Just for spilling soda at a burger joint.
It looked like another class was filling in to the lunch room. They all looked like juniors and seniors. That didn't really surprise Emi. The upper class men seemed to just rule the school. Even though Emi hadn't been at the school long, she could tell that by how the teachers treated sophomores. Your in 10th grade, right? you never could tell, some kids had skipped a grade. A 13-year-old was in her English class after all.

Mikari blinked.
"Oh I'm actually in 9th grade. I just got here." he said smiling nervously.

It sorta just occurred to Emi that this was the first week of classes, so most people had just got here. Really me too. It just seems like the middle of the year to me, seeing how everyone is in their own groups and all. From first glance Emi had thought that he was a sophomore like her. Trying to think back, Emi couldn't remember if he had said that he was 15. He probably got held back in kindergarten or something. she thought. Emi took another sip of her water, man this stuff was getting sorta addicting. It was like coffee, first time you tried it, it tasted horrible but after a while it sorta got good then boom your hooked.
Honestly i thought that you would be in 10th grade. See thats what I'm in. Emi had transfered her because of the rumors brought on by the preps of the school. It seemed silly to stick some kid here for practically no reason at all, but her principal hadn't been the brightest of people. He didn't even need a petition to move kids, just to say the word. It wouldn't surprise Emi if he had put in some of the rumors and believed them as fact. That was luck.

The blonde took another bite of his apple. Blinking slightly when he heard the girl mention what grade she thought he was in. The blonde made a small giggle before placing down the fruit. Trying to find the right words to explain his situation. He certainly wouldnt come out and say it flat out that he had skipped a year due to injuries or somewhat. Heavens no.
"Oh well truth be told I had hurt myself really badly so I skipped a year." he said scratching the back of his neck.
Well, he wouldnt give the reason why he was hurt.
