The courtyard was rather beautiful in the afternoon, and to Rhei’s eyes, it was all fresh and new and wonderful. The color and architecture was exquisite, and even though he had been forced to attend such a school, he was beginning to wonder if there hadn’t been some good in his parent’s decision. All things considered, it wasn’t a bad place, just a bit lonely compared to back home. He hadn’t been the most social creature, but Rhei still missed his little theatre family, lonely without the constant over-stimulation of gossip, drama, and stress that he had become so used to. Here…here he didn’t know a single person, and though he wasn’t at all shy, it seemed that trying to make his way into all of the little cliques was harder than he had thought it would have been. After a few failures, he had retreated, slightly disheartened at his own lack of courage, but not defeated in the least bit. Instead, he was trying to enjoy the time that he had been given, with moderate success.
While he would have preferred to be perched up in one of the many trees, he had settled for merely sitting beneath one, his dark, paint-speckled attire standing out against the beautiful assortment of grass and flowers like a sore thumb. He brushed a lock of grey hair out of his eyes as he squinted at a small bit of wire wrapped around a single knitting needle, trying to decide if it had been wound tight enough. He was making a chain bracelet, if only because he had grown slightly bored with wandering around the grounds. The grey-eyed teen had grown rather tired of aimlessly walking around, and he hadn’t really been told much more than to explore the school, and so he had settled on sitting in the courtyard and watching for people. It was a hobby of his, and he thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone interact with each other, even if he couldn’t be part of their nice conversations himself.
There was a snap as he clipped the wire ring, setting over to the right in a small, yet growing, pile of the little charms. It wouldn’t be a very elaborate accessory, but Rhei knew it would have to suffice until he was able to get his hands on something better. Hopefully there was a store or a mall around the campus, but that was all something he knew he would have to figure out, hopefully not on his own. He would be the first to admit that he was absolutely horrible with directions, and left to his own devices, Rhei was sure that he could probably accidentally strand himself on Mars just attempting to find something just down the street. Ah well, perhaps after he was more acquainted with the school itself, then he could think about the world outside.

"Yo~ You seem bored! I'm bored! Doesn't it work out great!? Wanna do something!?"
Yup direct as ever. Dolores stood over the boy she was refering too, tipping forward ever so slightly, one hand behind her back while the other held the white stick that mounted the ball of hard candiness she loved so much. Her shoulder length brown hair was held back with a little hair tie, bangs framing her face, curling around her cheeks. Her arms were laden with big, bulkly colorful beaded bracelets, in practically every color under the rainbow. She wore a vintage Hippy shirt in a mellow Violet, adorned with sequins and psychadilic patterns and swirls in a light gray, and covering her legs were a pair of Jean shorts, lightly shredded along the hem.
She had white fold-over socks and black and white shoes, that looked like Tennis shoes but had a little bit of a heel to them. Yeah..she kinda rushed when putting on her clothes this morning. The girl licked her lollipop again, a bright Red, Cherry obviously and knelt down till she was probably at least eye-level with the other boy.
She wasn't being a flirt or anything, she was just bored and was offering to cure another person's boredom as well as her's. But he didn't seem bored...she saw him clearly clipping away at metal wires obviously trying to make something. Oblivious to her at least.
"So~? You wanna do anything or what? I'm Dolores BTW you can call me Lo though~" she said introducing herself slightly. She licked her lollipop again, waiting for his answer.

For the life of him, the last thing Rhei expected was the appearance of someone. anyone so close to him, and as the first cheerful words alerted him to another’s presence, he looked up and let out an undignified yelp. While he was used to people straying close back home, he hadn’t predicted that that this new school would be the same, and he was thoroughly surprised. The knitting needle he had been holding dropped to the dirt with a barely audible thunk, and he stared wide eyed up at the mess of colors, utterly at a loss for any helpful words.
“What a piece of work man is,” he muttered out of habit, not spite, looking with wide eyes up at the collection of colors and textures. That was something he definitely hadn’t thought he would see at a school that was supposed to be ‘reforming’ teens, and it actually gave him a bit of a bit of hope for the place. Her strange attire was intriguing, and he found himself staring at the materials, calculating out how he could work off of such unique designs; with her brown hair she could probably pull off brighter colors spectacularly, especially if they were cut princess-style, and- Rhei realized that he had accidentally zoned out of the conversation, and he shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts. It was a symbolic action at best, but it helped him focus enough to get back on track, and he grinned apologetically, eyes filled with awkwardness.
“Um, hello,” he managed to work out, reaching over to pick up his discarded needle. He needed something to toy with in situations like this, and as he ran the tips of his fingers over the smooth metal, he felt just the tiniest bit better. The scent of cherry was mildly distracting as he tried to formulate his words a bit better, though certainly her cheery demeanor was refreshing. “I, ah, sure?”
Smooth, real smooth, Rhei mentally kicked himself, then laughed, “ah, sorry, sorry, you startled me. It’s a pleasure to meet you Lo, I’m Rhei. I uh…I’m not entirely sure what there is to do around here.”

Bright, Golden hazel eyes widened as the white haired boy let out a little yelp losing grip of knitting needle he had held, the metal utensil falling with a soft thunk. His light, pale eyes stared wide at his eyes, and she stared back, her eyes already naturally widened. Than he said something strange.
“What a piece of work man is,”
Dolores tilted her head to the side a little, in question really at his statement. She sensed no hostility in it, it just seemed natural. Just like shouting out random internet phrases was natural to her. So she didn't really give the phrase any thought, she just was on her knees now, her legs cushioned by the soft carpeting of grass. She pulled out her lolllipop, it now nothing but a useless moist and chewed stick. She pouted, disappointed before chucking it behind her, the little thing landing successfully in the trashbin. Lo mentally cheered at the victory, than she reached into her candy-wrapper bag and pulled out another one, this time Mulberry flavor, a nice deep purple and after unwrapping it, popped it in her mouth.
She sucked on it for a little listening to the other teen speak. “Um, hello,” Lo saw him fiddle with the knitting needle, probably out of nervous habit. “I, ah, sure?”
At his words, she smiled bright, pulling the lollipop out of her mouth, flashing her surprisingly white teeth. "Glad to hear it! Lol!" she said, smiling more. "For a second there, I thought you were going to diss me. But now I know that your not like that; which makes you awesome!"
Than the unnamed boy shook his head furiously, like he was trying to clear his head of something. Understandable. Lo did that herself. “ah, sorry, sorry, you startled me. It’s a pleasure to meet you Lo, I’m Rhei. I uh…I’m not entirely sure what there is to do around here.”
She smiled again, a little bump appearing from where her lollipop was poking her cheek. "Nice to meet cha too Rhei! And there's alway something to do! We could go shopping, or go to a club!" she paused thinking a little bit more before exclaiming again. "O-or we could go for a walk! Or just do nothing! Doing nothing is still doing something, right!?"
She finally finished and crossed her arms over her chest, proud of the list of her choices she had presented.

Yeesh, how many of those candies did she have? While Rhei had a bit of a sweet tooth, it almost hurt to watch her devour the lollipops. Each to their own though, he supposed, and he wasn’t really going to judge; after all, he probably had some strange habits of his own. Well, that was certainly distracting…what if he did have weird habits? No one had ever said anything, and for a moment he felt a bit self conscious as he tried to dig through his memory for evidence of anything bizarre about him. Oh, wait, there he was spacing out again; it was such a bad habit.
“Why in the world would I insult someone who’s gone out of their way to be nice?” He laughed softly, one hand sweeping over to the small pile of metal rings, collecting the charms into his palm. It seemed strange that anyone would be unkind to the quirky girl, but then again there were strange people out in the world. No, he was much too impressed by her style to even hope of finding something to critique, and even if he had, it would have been horribly hypocritical of him. He was used to being constantly harassed and called ‘emo’ by non-theatre people, so he knew how annoying it was to deal with such things. He would have pondered more on that
“There…are things like that around here?” Things had been rather rushed and whirlwind-esque between the time he had gotten into trouble and the time that he had arrived at the school, so he hadn’t found time to research any of the surroundings. Heck, the entire area was completely foreign to him, and he didn’t speak the native language at all, so he had thought that he would have been confined to the campus grounds, but if people actually did venture off… “I wasn’t aware.”
He fiddled again with the needle, pocketing the rings, then staring back at Lo with a rather pleasant expression. “What would you like to do, since you seem to know so much more about what’s around here?”

Funny, she could've sworn he had said something. Dolores was to busy chewing on her lollipop and absentmindedly twirling a lock of hair to actually here his words. Something about...um.....she dazed out for a moment forgetting....Yeah she forgot. The teenage girl tapped her chin for a moment trying to remember his words, but shrugged, thinking it would come to her later. Like in the middle of a sweet dream at night type of 'later'. She now sat down on the grass completely, a hand rested on the grass supporting it's owner.
“There…are things like that around here?” he seemed to murmur rather unsure. “I wasn’t aware.”
Lo smiled, a wide and cheeky grin. She spun her lollipop in her mouth a little bit, and chewed on it lightly. "Yeah! Sure there are! This may be a school with a stupid agenda in mind but they got alot of stuff to do!" she said nodding very hyperly. The girl was talking about how it was a reform school. But by the looks of it she felt that none of the students had there minds set on 'reforming' anything about themselves.
“What would you like to do, since you seem to know so much more about what’s around here?”
She watched as he pocketed the little rings and charms and looked at her again, this time Rhei had asked her a question. "Well....." she thought about it. It was really hot and she wanted snow and stuff. She snapped her fingers and smiled brightly, a light bulb lighting up above her head. "I know we can go ICE SKATING! There's a rink nearby! do you have anything for ice skating!?" she shouted hyperly, but true to her, her voice was soft and low, almost sounding meek. She smiled in Rhei's direction a smile on her lips.
"Soo~?!?! What do ya say Rhei~?" she asked staring at him her wide Hazel eyes.

“Agenda…yeah…” The teen’s features turned rather somber for a moment as the realization hit that he was in a school for reforming those of his kind. There was nothing wrong with him though, so he wasn’t exactly sure what there was to ‘fix’. Ah well, it was best not to dwell on such things so early on, and instead he perked his head up and looked over at the enthusiastic Lo, who had a bright smile upon her face. Perhaps things wouldn’t go as horribly as he had been imagining, and Rhei allowed himself a tiny bit of hope.
There were a few moments of silence as his earlier question was pondered, and then suddenly she responded with an answer that couldn’t have been more shocking. Hell, she could have told him that her candy was laced with PCP and it would have sounded more convincing, but the utterly flippant way in which she announced things made hi certain that she wasn’t just trying to confuse or embarrass him.
“…they have ice here?” It was a stupid question, one that he had just blurted out without thinking, and immediately he felt rather foolish for asking. “I, I mean, um, yes of course that sounds lovely. Thank you very much for inviting me.”
He pondered for a moment, then sighed slightly as he realized that that meant that he had still had to find his way back to the dorm he had been assigned. It was dreadfully lonely all by himself, and he still wasn’t quite sure which direction the building was in from his current location. Rhei certainly had no problem with roommates, hell, he was used to crashing with members of both genders after a good party or a particularly stressful rehearsal, so being isolated made him feel rather, well, isolated and ostracized. “I have a few things that would probably work, though I assume you rent the skates there?”
Another foolish question, but it was more to himself than to Lo, “I just would have to run back and get everything, I think. Is that alright with you?”

As Rhei talked, seemingly amazed that they had ice in this hot place...Dolores just remembered something. Her eyes widened, extra big now, and she glared lightly, puffing out her cheeks and putting her arms across her chest. "UGH!!!!" she breathed, very pissed and irratated. "I-I just remembered that the ice rink is is closed...so we can't like get in...." she pouted and lowered her face a little, her cheeks still puffed out and she twirled a lock of her brown locks.
"Sorry Rhei!! Lol!!!" she said, smiling embarrassed a little. "Well..the ice-rink is out~ Sooo...." she pondered on what they could do. She tapped her chin lightly, sucking her lollipop extra hard trying to think. Than the most perfectly awesome place popped up in her head!
"I know the mall!!!" she shouted springing upward and jumping to her feet. Her arm flew into the air and she pointed her finger up, making a proclamation. "The mall is soo~ huge and awesome!! FTW!!!" she shouted overly hyped now. "Soooo~~ Whaddya think Rhei!? An awesomer idea, no~?!" she added lastly flailing her arms overly excited.

Wagh! Where had all that energy suddenly come from? Lo was a little overwhelming, he had managed to figure out, but her passion was admirable. It was just a bit much for his first day, and Rhei felt his head spinning as he tried to process all of the information that had come flying at him with machine-gun speed. A. there was indeed an ice rink. B. it was apparently closed. C. there was a mall too? D. that was awesome. E. she wanted to go?
Well that was totally alright with him; classes had been rather boring, so getting off of campus would be a lovely change of pace. After all, he was new and it was a valuable chance to have someone show him around, and besides…it was a mall, what wasn’t cool about that? He needed more supplies anyways, though the chance of there being a crafting store there was rather slim. Oh well, that meant he could go around and look at the latest fashions for ideas, which was just as much fun. “Alright, alright, that sounds pretty cool.”
He smiled in earnest, finally putting the needle away in his pocket, ignoring the fact that it was still sticking out and would probably stab him in the side if he fell. The prospect of getting out of the oppressive school was absolutely enthralling, and he was excited. It was really fortunate that Lo had stopped to talked to him, and he was grateful for the fact that he had just made a friend. Or at least the thought he had just made a friend, but he really wasn’t going to dwell over anything negative. “So you want to go right now? I uh, I don’t know exactly where it is you you’re going to have to show me.”
He laughed embarrassedly, scratching the back of his neck for a moment before looking over again. “Thanks, I really appreciate it. Your niceness, that is. This place just seems so foreign right now, it’s nice to talk to someone so friendly.”

“Alright, alright, that sounds pretty cool.”
The girl smiled bright, "I know right?" she said, licking her lollipop. "The mall is really big, has lots of stores too~" the girl went on a rant about the mall's apparent awesomeness. It was one of the biggest malls in Barcelona and it was densely populate by teenagers, both local and foreign. The had lots of shops, clothing stores, big brand names....the girl wanted to go shopping, get some more new accessories and clothes. The girl was daydreaming lightly. Than she said something absentmindedly.
"I wanna own my own boutique one day." she said, smiling, dazing off lightly. But, she regained her composure, well her very quirky and upbeat composure.
Dolores linked her arms with Rhei and proceeded to drag the white haired dude to in the direction of the Academy's exit. "LET'S GO!!!" she shouted, enthusiastic as ever and ran off, pulling Rhei right along with her.
{Dolores has left this thread and has kidnapped Rhei~>3}
