It was Komaji's second day at La Campana and, as always, he still remained without friends. It was typical, because he tended to avoid people assuming they were all idiots whom wanted to do nothing than drink and act immaturely. He had been around too many people whom acted like that throughout his life and it had become his biggest pet peeve. To escape all the idiocity, he always turned to readingm which he enjoyed thouroughly. It was the reason why he had come to the library. It had been the first thing he looked for when he arrived and now he was sitting at a table in the corner reading a book from the Warhammer 40,000 saga.
The only genre of books that really interested him was Sci-Fi, especially Warhammer 40,000. But most of the time all he realy wante4d was someone to talk to, even though he did seclude himself most of the time. He continued reading, keeping his attention on the story not noticing anything going on around him.

The whole library was chatting up a storm as the librarians had been failing miserably at trying to calm the noise down. Lots of people were apparently in the library that day. Even the number of students had increased noticeably around La Campana. And still, the principal was so naïve as to think he can reform all these students even when the number of students and relationships continued to escalate. Such a foolish principal. The chatter was rather annoying in the library though, especially since many of them were just there for recreation, not study or reading in particular. Out of the many shelves of books that towered over the students, it’s amazing that none of the students found interest in any one book. There were so many books that even sliding ladders were put in the library, so that students could reach the book they wanted. Wasn’t that a falling hazard..? Either way, the many shelves made something of a mini maze inside the library where the treasure would be the book of the person’s choice. It seems someone had decided to step into the noisy library today.. It was a boy, a young teenager with a 5’7” tall and slender body. He had dark midnight blue-black hair that parted down the middle in a zigzag fashion. The hair on the back of his spiked up a little but was over all kept neatly. There was an air of charisma around him as well as refinement. His skin complimented the dark color of his hair with a pale peach color, not a blemish seen. A nice and polite smile graced his features as his eyes indicated a bit of playfulness. But his eyes were strange, the colors were alluring. The left eye was a beautiful azure shade while the right was anything but. It was a crimson blood shade and regardless of difference, they both indicated playfulness. He wore casual clothes that day which included a blue-green shirt under a black jacket coupled with regular jeans. On his face, he also wore glasses that had fake lenses. It appeared he was looking for a book, of course. His hands touched the spines of the books, reading through the various titles and colorations. He finally chose one, it was a book about mythology. It was a randomly chosen book but he was drawn to the dark red color. He flipped through the pages for a bit where he stood before choosing the book. After a moment, he decided he was satisfied and went to go find a seat. Of course, most of the seats were filled or had loud annoying people sitting at the table. He scanned the library for a quieter seat and area. He finally decided on sitting across from the new kid at the same table. He pushed back the seat quietly and sat down, “I hope you don’t mind me sitting here.” He said with a calm and polite voice, pulled off with a polite smile. He looked down to his book and opened it to the first page. That was all he had said as he had already begun reading, engulfed in his own little world. Who was this person?

Komaji was entrapped within the pages of his book, so he did not notice the boy sitting down, mistaking his question for another in a seperate conversation. When he got into a book, it was difficult for him to get away from it. He read a few more pages, then set the book down, rubbing his temples and leaning back in the chair with a sigh. When he opened his eyes, they immediately fell upon a ravishingly attractive boy sitting across from him at the same table. The first thing he saw being his eyes.
They were incredible. One colored blue and the other a shade of red. When he realized he was staring, he picked his book back up and continued reading his book. He could not, however, stop thinking of the boy. He was rather attractive all around, but the thing that had gotten him was his eyes. No one else had eyes like that. How had they gotten that way? He tried to continue reading his book, but found out he could not concentrate, but continued to look like he was reading to hide the slight blush on his cheeks.
The boy could not have been younger than 18 judging by his looks. He looked so mature and... Komaji shook his head, his expression showing no emotion, but his mind continuing to reel with thoughts about the boy. No longer able to avoid him, Komaji set his book down and looked at the boy, his face giving no hint of his emotions or feelings. "Komaji Asuura. May I ask what is your name?"

He continued flipping through the pages of the book, a slightly rough feel to the touch of his fingers. It was a familiar feeling since he had a habit of reading books when bored. It was a story about how rain had fell on the woman trapped in a high tower so as not to conceive with men. But one such god eluded this by transforming into rain and falling through the window, making the woman pregnant with a child. It was quite an odd story, how far men would go for a woman. He supposed in some ways, he was like that. He did love his first mistress but kept it at a butler’s standpoint so that he would keep his distance. But, he scared that love away, and he knew better than to wish for her return. That would be selfish.
He took little note of the other as he did with anyone else. Rarely did he feel attracted to someone; though he admits he’s been attracted to both genders previously. He would flirt time to time, but solely for the reaction of the person, if it was worthwhile. No, he wasn’t going to feel indebted to making someone happy or scaring them at this point. That would require constant attention and right now, his focus would have to be becoming a full fledged butler, at least with a little more experience.
While he wasn’t looking at the other boy, he could still feel stares, as if they were going to eat him up. Begrudgingly, he looked away from the book to find the black haired boy looking to him. He smiled nicely and smirked inwardly at the blush he found coming onto the older teen’s face. “It looks like you were having trouble reading, sempai.” He said with a smile, looking at his upperclassmen’s lack of concentration. He crossed his legs under the table, not in a girlish way but much like an aristocrat. He set his book down on the table, though he missed being able to look through its pages at the interesting stories told within its covers.
He brushed back a loose strand of his dark midnight blue hair, “My name is Hatori Iyatou. It’s a pleasure to meet you, Komaji-sempai.” He said while smiling gentlemanly. He certainly acted like an aristocrat, and such an act came in handy when getting more customers and regular customers to go to the bar he worked at. Of course he felt partially indebted to his caretaker for taking him off his father’s hands as well as helping him protect his younger sister. So, he might as well help his caretaker make a living at the bar, even if it was usually filled with drunkards that smelt too much of alcohol. But, he endured the repulsive scent. “I believe you must be the new student that I’ve heard about? Welcome to La Campana, sempai.” He greeted.

Like always, Komaji picked his book back up, feeling like he had done something to offend him, judging from the subtle changes of the boy's expression on his face and went back to reading, sighing. He had always known he was annoying when he was in a good mood, so he tried to not be most of the time as best he could. He did not want to have the reputation of being the annoying, pathetic person whom no one liked; he rather'd be the shy, quiet one who kept to himself.
Feelings returned to him and hit him likea ton of bricks. Would he ever find someone to love, or would he live his entire life lone and unhappy? The latter seemed the most probable because he did not believe anyone really liked him despite everything he tried to do. But, that was life. He returned to the sanctuary of his book, following the story of an Imperial Guard Regiment fighting on a desert world full of orks. He enjoyed the battle scenes the most.
Whenever he tried to talk to anyone about what he liked, everyone always ignored him or scolded him. It was another reason why he kept to himself; he had been hurt too many times. He had become defensive over the years and could incredibly easily know when someone was being sarcastic to him which was 95% of the time. He would jsut have to live his life an outcast, constantly fighting back the constant depression and loneliness which had become a dear friend to him.
