Ah, the school library! Since his first day at La Campana, it had been Sider's place of solace. With it's giant shelves, and sliding ladders he'd only thought existed in movies, there seemed to be no end to what he could read. Just lifting one hand and running it over the spine's of cracked leather and gold lettering, and Sider's day suddenly seemed better, no matter the problems he was having.
Today, however, he was cursing it. How was he supposed to do a paper on the fundamental principles of homosexuality when there were no books about homosexuality in the library? He was tired of looking and trying to find anything that he could use to cite in his paper. He wished he could've just stayed in bed all day for once. Was that such a crime? 'Yes' He thought, as he entered yet another row of books in his fruitless search, 'obviously it is, if I'm not allowed to do it.' He grabbed at a book that caught his attention over the rest of them. It was titled 'Zeus & the Gods'. The bright green book (he realized that it had undoubtedly been the color that had attracted his attention) amused him. It wouldn't help with his paper, but maybe he could find something about one of the God's having sex with a man. He wasn't well versed in ancient greek history, but he recalled that homosexuality had been a common practice of the Gods'. He flipped open the cover of the book and flipped through the first few pages.
Sider loved the feeling of an old book in his hand. The browning parchment, the thick bound covers; give him an old book over a new one any day. He took the book back to the table he was working at and sat down. He took a moment to cross his legs, but his eyes never left the pages of the book. He'd managed to find, in the index, an entire section on the God's who had been in homosexual relationships.
He quirked an eyebrow at the unusual find. The library was well known for not having any content of this sort. As if he'd found a rare treasure and only had a moment to inspect it before someone saw and tried to steal it from him, Sider let go of the book with one hand and opened his notebook. Grabbing his blue mechanical pencil, he clicked the bottom a few times to produce a fair ammount of led, and began scrawling notes on the page.
Yes, Sider sometimes felt like a huge nerd. But, he figured, at least he was an old-school nerd, instead of the new-age technology nerd. He could help someone with a history project, but he'd be lost hen it came to anything with computers.
He didn't look as he wrote. He was too engrossed with the story. It was probably that reason why he could very rarely read all of his notes. He'd long since given up even staying on the lines of his lined paper. It would take a professional team of translators to ever make out what his notes said.
His eyebrows furrowed when he realized that he'd made his mistake. He set the book down for a moment and quickly erased a large section of his notes. The quick movement caused his glasses to slip from their position. When he finished erasing, he lifted his hand again and pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose and to their correct positioning. He stopped and looked over his notes again. He hoped he wouldn't have to type the paper...he hated having to turn in a typed paper. It felt more natural and personal to turn in a hand written-paper to him.

Library's. Such fun places filled with so many books and wonderful ways to learn new things. Plus it had manga!! Which was exactly why Mizumi was in the library, for instead of doing his science paper, which was his excuse for coming here, he decided to work on his reading skills. The boy picked out at least four books and lugged them all over to a table, quickly opening one up. The boy had been through a rough day and being able to bury himself in a book was perfect for him right now. This school, he had only been in the actual school for a few days and he felt very much at home since there were many people like him, but sadly many people got his gender wrong. The boy looked down at his tight jeans that were rolled to capris and his loose caramel colored jacket. Was it really that girl like? Then again, with his feminine figure....
Gently shaking his head the boy's eyes caught sight of Sider. Curious, he set his books down and snuck over. When he got close enough his eyes drifted over the notes and smirked. He knew what teh boy's report was about (sorta) so why not help?
"You like greek?" The boy slid into a seat next to the other, a warm sugary smile on his face. "OR are you just trying to find an old historian sex book?" He gave a faint laugh, though he knew it really wasn't that funny. Staring at the boy a moment he recognized him, thinking back the boy could swear they had a class together, science maybe. "Hey isn't your name Sider?" Never hurt to ask!

Sider didn't pay any attention to the messiness of his notes as he wrote. It was just second nature to ignore that which he knew he couldn't fix. He'd become so enertained with the book, that he'd actually stopped taking notes. This was something that rarely happened when Sider was reading a book for a paper. His focus was usually so intense, that he just naturally multi-tasked. This book, his rare find, had managed to take up all of his attention.
It was then that his attention was distracted by Mizumi's voice. "You like greek?" The boy spoke. At the sentence, Sider reluctantly dragged his attention away from the book. He was marginally startled, but it didn't show externally. Sider had great control over his nerves. He looked up at the boy in time to catch the sugary smile before Mizumi continued. "OR are you just trying to find an old historian sex book?" Sider gave a half-smirk. The thought was an amusing one. He could almost see himself as a creepy old man sitting in the library reading sex books. He was about to respond with a retort but the boy gave him a strange look. Sider could tell that the boy was about to talk again so he waited. "Hey isn't your name Sider?". Sider quirked one eyebrow. He shut the book in front of him. "Yeah. We have science together." he said, admittedly a bit put off that the boy hadn't immediately recognized him. He wasn't the loudest person in the world... but he at least figured he was memorable. Not that he could really talk. He knew the boy's name started with an M, but couldn't pull his name to surface. Talk about hypocritical.
He smiled and looked back over to the book. "And I just like greek. But if it makes things more interesting for you, I can pretend like some sex-craving maniac who sits in the library getting off on the God's having sex with animals."Sider said, joking with the boy. He was amused when he heard a soft gasp from the table next to his. A group of girls had heard his comment. As it was followed by soft laughter, he registered that the girls knew he was only joking. Sider was glad he wouldn't have to go through an awkward explanation.
Notes: Sider's just weird enough to talk about beastiality to a stranger, hahahahahah xD Listening To: Hey ya -- OutKast

Shhh, it’s not good to be so loud as it is not allowed in this place. This place that was treated as if it was sacred, which perhaps was the cause of such lack of sound. Someone might even be able to hear a pin drop were it to happen. Even the librarian at the other side of the room could be heard, her pencil making stroking noises against the paper audibly. A few sounds of pages turning in a book was also coupled with the pencil strokes. Books were organized on the shelves, towered so high that it seemed almost endless. Hoping that one was not the only one to think so, one could almost think it was a scene out of a movie. To think it was also complete with a sliding ladder, though it was kind of dangerous in case someone fell off one of those. But that has never happened before,…right?
A sigh was released from a mouth until a quick and prompt ‘shush’ came from the librarian. The breath was held immediately after. The soft and almost inaudible clash of shoes against the floor resonated. It was almost as if it had been a cat walking rather than a person. Such silent footsteps..but who could they belong to? A pale peach hand reached out, brushing over the books’ spines in a feathery motion, almost as if it was a wave. Gently, his interest was gently peeked at a gentle red colored book. Unknowingly, he found himself in the manga section. He picked up the gentle red colored book and started to walk away, this time adding a small bit of a skip into his step.
Now, the person with the pale peach hands holding the book was quite a strange person indeed. If not by what he wore, which was already strange enough, then definitely by his personality or actions. On his feet were sandals for shoes, a strange blue color with a design of a porpoise on the bottom. His pants were jeans that were a bit loose on him. His pants rested just barely on his hips but his boxers underneath could be seen which were a dark crimson color. From there, he did not seem to wear any article of clothing to cover his top self up, which seemed ridiculous when attending a school. He must have been out of his mind, if not at least caught by a teacher. However, it seems that he’s been given so many ignored warnings that it was alright for him by now. He was shown to be rather thin and skinny. There was only a bit of muscle around his shoulders but the rest of him was just that: thin. He had long legs and thin arms which was made obvious by his lack of clothes. He seemed rather tall for his age, his age being fourteen. And he stood at 5’7” but still, he wasn’t nearly as tall as some of the upperclassmen at the school. Strangely enough, he wore one thing which included a patch in the shape of a broken heart over his heart. His face was like that of a girl’s but still could be defined as the more masculine term ‘handsome. Such a cheerful smile on his face that lacked any sign of care or worry. His hair was a faint blond and fell just over his shoulders in a messy way. But what was the most captivating was the only eye visible, due to his right eye being covered by a strange pentagonal eye patch with a strangely eerie eye design. His left eye had been a dark ruby color, such a rare treasure among colors.
He blinked as he noticed a table occupied by two, which didn’t seem as bad as the tables occupied by perhaps four. He decided to walk over and wave. “Hello,” He said in a calm, lucid voice. “My name’s Nanashi! I’m going to take a seat here now~” He said cheerfully before the two got a word in. He hopped onto a seat but seemed to falter as his hop caused the chair to stumble a bit. He struggled as the chair finally caught balance and remained stable. He let out a relieved sigh as he smiled cheerfully once again, “Wah~ That could’ve ended badly.” He said leaning back only to find the chair topple over. So much for the effort he spent on getting the chair to stabilize.
He flinched and held the back of his head, “Oww…. Wow, it does hurt a lot.” He said smiling and sweatdropping a bit. He blinked as his book fell in the process. He looked around to find his book on the floor opened to a page where two people were actually having sex in the manga, though it was censored. His jaw dropped as he immediately closed it, flushing slightly. “Haha, you both didn’t see that.” He said trying to cover up for taking out a random book. He tried to clarify, “It seems I’m no good at randomly choosing.”

Mizumi gave a cheery laugh when Sider made the god comment, causing him to cover his mouth so he wasn't yelled at. His eyes cheerfully closed and he tilted his head lightly, causing his bangs to brush against his forehead. "My my! You always wear such a serious face, who knew you such a jokester!"
At teh sound of the other voice Mizumi turned and gave Nanashi a smile, though it spread rather wide when he fell. Being raised on politeness the femine boy jumped up and moved over to teh blonde's side, holding his hand out to the other. Even though his hand was out his eyes drifted and raised a brow at the manga before teh smile turned to a smirk.
"Hey Sider! If you want information on a sex box, ask Mr. Tipsy here!!" THe boy's voice held a giggle to it, clearly showing he was joking with the other. He always joked around with people, he felt it made the air more upbeat. "Your quite the clutz Mr. blonde! May we get your name?

Sider was used to being both ignored and cut off when talking. His unthreatening appearance coupled with his lack of desire to stand out often put him on the back-burner.
However, as Mizumi finished speaking, Sider had no time to say anything back. He would've liked to, too. He felt he should've explained himself, perhaps said something about how looks were deceiving. Something clever and intruiging, and perhaps a bit cryptic.
He had no time to say anything as Nanashi approached. Sider instantly fell quiet as the male hopped onto the chair, talking to them all the while. Sider grimaced at the boy's brash action, expectng that the chair was going to immediately topple over and send its occupant plummeting to the ground. "Well that was impres..." Sider bega, but stopped when Nanashi's impressive balance was thwarted by him leaning back and falling to the ground regardless. Even more impressive to Sider was that the boy bounced right back from the impact, seemingly unharmed. Sider distantly thought that he would've probably gotten a concussion had the same thing happened to him.
After a moment, Sider was shocked back to reality when Mizumi spoke "Hey Sider! If you want information on a sex box, ask Mr. Tipsy here!!" Sider lifted an eyebrow at Mizumi's comment. The hell? he inwardly questioned, craning his neck to look at Nanashi and, hopefully, see what Mizumi was talking about. All he saw was a closed book and a beraggled looking teen. Sider really didn't understand other people, sometimes.
Your quite the clutz Mr. blonde! May we get your name? Mizumi had said. Sider thought for a moment. Amidst all of the cluter and confusion, hadn't the boy given his name? He could hardly blame Mizumi for asking, he could scarcely remember it himself. After a moment of thinking, with the name on the tip of his tongue, Sider remembered. "Nanashi, wasn't it?" He asked, though he was quite confident that he'd gotten it correct. He would've held out his hand to shake Nanashi's in greeting, but the length of the table prevented that from happening. The red-head simply settled for a wave. "I'm Sider...and are you okay?" he asked, still unable to beleive that someone could bounce back from that so quickly.

He mentally noted to try not to jump on chairs anymore, lest this happen again. Perhaps the next time he’d get a concussion or brain trauma. His poor head, having to go through such a thing. He blinked his visible eye and looked up toward the other blond haired person as he was still rubbing his head as to try to soothe it. He blushed a bit and laughed slightly, rubbing the back of his head, “I told you that wasn’t it!” He said in response to the blond’s comment about his random selection of a book. He pouted slightly at the thought of being thought of as a pervert upon first meeting. He sighed and smiled up toward the other child cheerfully, hearing and noting the joking tone.
He waved his hand at the blond indicating that he was capable of getting up on his own. He started to collect himself by standing up and dusting off his pants. Strange, he thought a library would be too spick and span for dust. An amusing thought. He glanced over at the other person with glasses. He didn’t particularly have a set out thought of either of them but that wouldn’t be surprising considering that he just met them. By the look of the glassed face, he didn’t seem to have notice his strange choice of book. He inwardly thanked the gods for that…speaking of gods, weren’t the two just talking about that before he arrived?
Oh well, it wasn’t the main thing he was focused on at the moment. He took the book and looked around to see if anyone was looking. He then threw it at a table and let it be there for anyone to find and pick up, just like the poor unfortunate him. He smiled at the two, “Although Sider-kun is right about my name, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to introduce myself again.” He smiled nicely at the two, leaning back a bit while his hand waved toward the two, “My name is Nanashi.” He said as his face twisted to something sinister for a moment. If but only a moment, his face showed a sign of a playful cat amusing itself with the prey between its claws. It was a strange smile that only lasted a moment because within the next, it was gone without a trace to his usual cheerful smile. It was almost as if it never happened and it could barely be caught. “Nice to meet ya. I’m kinda new to this school but I hope for your guidance~” He said cheerfully.
He took a look over at what Sider was reading. “Ah! I’ve seen that book before when I had to do a mythology packet for one of my old teachers at my old school~. They’re quite the tales, huh? I like one of Norse mythology I read that had to do with Loki the trickster god.” He said striking up conversation to hopefully delay the hyper blond from the thoughts of him and that random book he had chosen. Of course, he usually cared so little about his image but he cared to some extent that he didn’t want to be a pervert. Besides, he’s the one who usually likes teasing other people. It is no fun if the mouse is the one chasing the cat.

Mizumi gave a light blush when he realized the boy's name was already spoken but brushed it off. "Aw, i'm sorry for not hearing you before buddy!!" He stared when teh boy said 'kun', wondering if he was Japanese as well, but instead of asking gave a slight laugh, then took a seat back next to Sider, his sugary smile back. "Guidence?? Heh, hang with me and your more likely to get in trouble Kuuu~" He gave the blonde a wink, then, in all his mean-ness, he lend back in his chair with his hands folded behind his head.
Ok so it wasn't that mean, but pretty silly of him at the same time to lend back, his caramel eyes staring at the rather odd blonde. It only took him a moment, then he noticed something. "Your piercings are fake! Nya, that's so cute, yur trying to act like a big boy!!!" He gave a goofy laugh, winking at the boy to show he was only toying with him. He loved to goof around with others.
Seeing he was relaxed, Mizumi snatched up the blonde's book and opened to the sex scene, showing it to Sider. "Sider-chan! Look, a visual example for you!!!" He gave a big smile, her eyes cheerfully closing, as he usually did.

For the past two years, Sider had honestly worked hard on not being judgemental. He'd always had troubles with assuming things about people by their first impressions--judging a book by its cover, so to speak.
Old habits died hard, and Sider realizedthat he'd already made assumptions towards both of the boys. For Nanashi, he'd assumed that the boy was the ditzy, reckless type who couldn't be bothered to give two shits about books. For Mizumi, he'd assumed much the same thing, but being air-headed rather that reckless. Though it was embarassig for himself, Sider was glad that at least Nanashi had already proven him wrong. For all the shy inferiority most people saw, Sider's analytical personality often put him in an undeserved superiority complex.
“Ah! I’ve seen that book before when I had to do a mythology packet for one of my old teachers at my old school~. They’re quite the tales, huh? I like one of Norse mythology I read that had to do with Loki the trickster god.” Nanashi had said. The sentence in itself caused Sider to snap into attention. His head whipped back to fully look at Nanashi, complete disbelief flooding his entire mind. Sider lifted his small right hand and wrapped his index finger around a strand of his auburn locks.
These boys were proving to be quite interesting...it seemed that his boring library trip was shaping up to be an interestng opportunity.
He stayed silent throughout Mizumi's talking, barely registering any of the words that poured fourth from the boy's lips. He was too enveloped in his own mind and thoughts. He liked to figure things out...at least about other people. It gave him a strange sense of pride to be able to successfully figure out what made a person tick.
The boy, with his eyes now glazed and staring haphazardly out one of the library's windows, blinked suddenly when he noticed movement out of his peripheral vision. He pushed his glasses up the bridge of the nose to look at the book. He hadn't heard a word Mizumi had said in explanation, finding one very confused boy. "Well, that's lovely. This school refuses to supply any books on homosexuality, but a graphic sex scene between a straight couple is perfectly acceptable?" He chuckled as he looked over the sex scene. He couldn't understand why people were turned on by sex scenes in mangas. It was all over-done and fake. Real sex was far less glamorous than they portrayed it to be.
Notes: Sorry for contributing so little. Sider isn't terribly talkative :{ Listening to: Nothing, do you beleive it?

He stared amusedly at such a proud person having a blush on his face. He nodded toward Mizumi as to show he had no hard feelings toward being ignored at one point. He tilted his head a bit at what Mizumi had said and laughed inwardly. If he’s trouble then what was Nanashi? For having such..previous problems.. He gave a slight laugh, “Now, you’re not going to get far with telling me your trouble when you look like a chestless girl, ne?” He teased. As if mocking, he found that Mizumi was tilting back on his chair similarly to what he had done before he fell. Oh well, he was used to falling. He was a bit clumsy when his eyepatch was over his right eye.
He blinked at the mention of his piercings, “Yeah, I guess I wanted to try them. But they hurt for a while after you put them on.” He said nonchalantly, “I guess that it made me look like a mafia member since people were staring at me funny.” He said, not seeming to care that it made him look weird. He began taking them off and placed them on the table as now he at least looked like a regular mop-headed blond student. His hair was a bit longer than most but for the most part, he didn’t care much about appearances and only made exceptions for when formal attire was needed, knowing those were times that his foster parent made sure he didn’t screw up. He decided to take a seat across from Sider and Mizumi at the table, this time being careful not to tip over.
He tilted his head looking to Sider slightly then laughed a bit as he poked Sider’s face. “Nee, it seems like someone saw a ghost. Something happen to cause such a reaction?” He said, almost as if not knowing the cause of Sider’s reaction. He saw that Sider began to twist his finger in his hair and took it as either it was something he did when thinking or when unsure. He was pretty sure it was thinking that made him do such a thing. It was strange to him that Sider would quickly be judgemental but this was coming from someone who was strange himself so it could just be him. He looked to Sider who seemed to be in his own world, not even hearing what Mizumi was saying. Nanashi himself had been listening but watching each of their respective actions as well. “Ne,” He said after awhile of looking to Sider, “Good luck with finding ticks.” He said smiling cheerfully, as if challenging Sider to find their ticks.
He blinked and looked toward Mizumi who had gotten the book again and showed Sider the pages within. He blushed slightly again and took the book back and threw it someplace far in the library, not caring if the librarian saw, which thankfully she didn’t. He smiled very otherworldly bright toward Mizumi. Strangely, at the same time, that wonderful smile seemed to be a glare at the same time, “Ne, Mizumi-chan, I’d advise that you be a bit careful with teasing me and then knowing limits.” He blinked as he heard what Sider said and laughed halfheartedly from usual, “Well, no surprise since the reason most people are sent here is to change one’s preferences.” With how far he threw the book this time, there was no way it was going to be in their sights for awhile.
