Don't be pissy? Oh. . .Okay. Oddly enough, Niko's expression became almost serene. Calm, collected. . .cold. . . It wasn't like he /had/ to show emotion, after all.
"I'm not going to bite you,"Niko stated evenly. However, now that he was focused on not reacting to Cyrus, his attention shifted to the trees and the rain, to the sounds, to the world around him rather than Cyrus. When Cyrus asked why he was doing that- presumably unbuttoning his clothes since it was the only thing he had been doing- he ignored it. Didn't matter. Well, not now that was.
Best not to really freak him out, though. He might think Niko'd gone insane or something. Niko's gaze shifted back to Cyrus, though he was still listening to the sounds, to the rain hitting the leaves and the sway of tree branches. . . If he wasn't careful, it'd make him sleepy.
"Where'd you come from? Somewhere sunny, like Florida or something? California? Arizona?"Niko asked. Arizona was a desert, but hey, it was still somewhat sensible. Right? Maybe.

"That's good then..." Cyrus said in a sigh and then climbed up in a branch of a tree and sat on it. It was a dry place and he instantly loved that. He felt rather content then, a dry Cyrus made a happy Cyrus, or so he would like to believe that is.
The taller teen yawned and glared at the sky as he heard a rumble of thunder but turned his attention back to Nik, "Hmm, I came from Japan, granted my family and me moved around a lot so I suppose I should say I came from the States in the Texas area, seeing as I was staying there last." He nodded slightly, "If that make sense, although my parents where getting ready to leave back to Japan before they found out that me and a friend where..well, I'm sure you can figure it out since I'm in this school."
"How about you, Nikolai? Anywhere interesting?"

{Woot, less tired=less moody Nikolai <3}
As if Cyrus wasn't already taller, he decided to climb the tree. Niice. Honestly, Niko didn't mind, but it was a bit odd to him anyway. He didn't think of it being drier. . .At least Cyrus looked a bit less upset than he had been before. Then again, Cyrus hadn't been too bad, even upset. If anything, his freakout had been hilarous though Niko did feel badly for him, too.
"I was born in Japan,"Niko stated, a bit surprised by the common ground. "My parents had planned a trip there, and not even pregnancy could cancel those plans, I guess. But I grew up in Arkansas, along the Mississipi river." Arkansas was a very laid back place. A very cool place to be. Sure it was in the South, but he was fairly calm, fairly easy-going because of where he had grown up. As for him saying him and his friend were doing something that got him sent here, Niko couldn't understand that.
"I chose to come here,"Niko chimed in helpfully. He didn't mean to imply he wanted to be normal/changed, but he didn't mention that it was because he wanted to be near people of the same sexual orientation. Besides, being home sucked- bad.
"Anyway, I loved Japan, we went there to visit every Autumn- I mean, November. But, what about Texas? I've never been there, though Arkansas is met by Texas."Niko questioned. Texas touched the bottom corner of Arkansas- it actually bit into it. However, Niko lived on the other side of the state and his parents never seemed to have any reason to travel in that direction. They did take him to California once. In a plain, not driving. And besides, they could just go to the east coast or Florida. California held little appeal, it seemed.

Cyrus looked down at the boy, letting his legs hang from the branch, "Texas, its nice but its really hot, especially in the summer its like being out in the desert." He chuckled lightly at that and tilted his head at Nik for a moment in thought, "So you chose to come here? Well that's pretty cool, I just got shipped out here like I was going to get shot by my Dad if I didn't." He joked a bit on that.
He felt better, as long as he wasn't getting wet then it was okay. He could survive then. "Arkansas eh? Can't say I've been there, not yet anyways. I would actually like to go back to Japan, I miss the food they had. It was pretty good and a bit more...Veggie friendly."
He then looked up towards the clouds, hopping it wouldn't pour down again.

"It beats something like military school."Niko shrugged. Okay, so maybe his mother would have let him stay. . .He didn't mention that. As for Cyrus saying he'd get shot by his dad, that was slightly scary. Niko took it more as a joke, though. Surely Texas wasn't quite that stereotypical, right? People really wouldn't go grab their shotguns, or even saddle up their horses, would they? That'd be crazy.
"Did you have a horse?"Niko asked randomly. It seemed significant to verifying the previous statement. And beyond that, he was very curious. However, it did seem unlikely if his parents moved around a lot. Ooh well. He wanted to know anyway.
"Wait. ..I know all the cowboys had horses, but wouldn't the horse die in the desert?"Niko added curiously. It wasn't exactly adapted like a camel or anything. But, why would the western movies lie?
"Yeah, I miss Japan, too. I love the beauty of Autumn, and we celebrated there, so it was like, every year I can remember, my birthday's been in Japan. It's nice. Sure, sometimes people are hard to understand, and sometimes there are mix ups and mistakes, but after sixteen years, you kinda learn to get what you want." He was seventeen, but he said sixteen because he figured that the first year they wouldn't have known how to ask for a cake or, well, anything. Still, even saying sixteen was an exaggeration. He didn't care, though.

Cyrus chuckled and looked down at Nik and raised a brow, "Oh yeah, thirty of them!" He joked, and then shook his head, "No, we didn't have any, just had the normal family car." He said and yawned slightly.
"But I suppose your right on that note, but I never could figure out to get what I want, at least not since I was five years old. A single tear could get me a bar of chocolate." He rested his chin in the palm of his hands, the rain finally started to slow down much to Cyrus delight, and he smiled at that.

"Ah. . .That's cool, at least you don't have to clean up after your car I guess."Niko shrugged, trying to be somewhat 'optimistic'. He would have liked to ride a horse, not as a sole means of transportation, but still. Not that Cyrus's affirmative would have helped him with that goal, it was just the idea of the horse itself. Anyway, he hadn't quite meant to imply it was the only transportation Cyrus would have. He didn't correct Cyrus though because Niko ended up with his answer anyway.
"Being a kid was fun. My parents were pretty willing to give me my way, too."Niko nodded with a smile. Usually he didn't have to cry, but crying certainly didn't hurt his chances any. Unlike Cyrus, his parents never stopped giving him his way. He had to play piano and be the 'perfect' son. In exchange, he got nearly everything he wanted. Okay, so at some point in his life they started saying he had to earn what he wanted rather than just get it. . .but still. He was never told no, really. . .
"Were there cowboys and old ghost towns and stuff? Or just the big town and Texas rangers?"Niko questioned again. He'd never taken a particular interest in Texas, but hey, why not start?

Cyrus finally slid back down from the tree and went to stand next to Nik, "Mmm, well, Texas as a mix of things really. There are some people who like to dress like cowboys still, few but there is some and there's a ghost town in every state." He chuckled and put his hands into his pockets, rocking on his heels idly. He was in a much better mood now that the rain was coming to a stop.
Stupid random rain clouds.
"But over all Texas is huge without of buildings and randomly someone on a horse or too. Granted, I don't really like horses much, I got bit by one." He mused on that memory, "Damn thing wanted my carrot and took it too."

"Aahh, yeah."Niko agreed. He had a point, they did all have ghost towns. Still, not like 'western' ghost towns. A western ghost town, complete with a sheriff office and a saloon, would be awesome. The abandoned towns in his own state never really interested him that much.
Niko chuckled in amusement. Took his carrot? He didn't even know that horses ate carrots as far as he knew. Anyway, biting horses. . .Huh, they had big, thick teeth. That was kind of weird.
"I can imagine not. That'd be scary, they've got big teeth. . .big mouths. Eww."Niko crinkled his nose in his distaste. Ew. And what if they drooled? He tried to think of something else that wasn't the ickiness of the biting horse.
"What animal do you like, if not horses? Do you have a favorite?"Niko questioned.

He shuttered, "Yeah, those teeth of theirs is scary, thought I was going to lose a hand." The boy shook his head and then thought about this for a moment, what animal did he like? Well horses where out of the question.
"Mm," He started, "I like cats and panda's a bit. They both are cute and fluffy. But so are raccoons." He chuckled at that and shrugged, "I really don't know if I have a favorite animal or not. How about you got a favorite animal or anything?" The teenager asked brightly, enjoying the nice conversation. It was a nice change of pace and so far he hadn't stuck his food in his mouth and said anything overly stupid!
