With a faint, but distinct cherry-pink blush on his cheeks, Yukimura Keigo could be found tracing a path down the endless aisle of books marked out by the bookshelves on his either side; his right hand was out-stretched, fingers caressing the different covers of each book he drifted past, hazy violet irises scrutinizing every title he came across. A tender, sorrowful smile tugged at the corners of the boy's lips unwillingly as he gazed at the neat collection with tear-filled eyes, but he made no move to brush them away as he continued down the carpetted aisle. Keigo found himself stopping every now and then, drawing out books with titles or prints that caught at his attention, only to replace them in sadness as he realised he couldn't quite read the words at all - let alone to understand them.
Back in his circus life, while Nuriko-san and Ryan had been so kind to bless him with the gift of languages, to be able to communicate verbally, they didn't, and couldn't quite teach him how to read and to write. There weren't many children like him within his mates to begin with, while books and writings were so rare when you were part of a travelling circus - and now that Keigo found himself surrounded by the vast collection here at La Campana, he wasn't quite sure how he felt; how he was supposed to feel. Sorrow was, he had concluded, his primary feeling, and it was chewing at his heart with every title he brushed past without being able to comprehend its meaning. Pulling his blue cloak closer as he finally withdrew his hand, Keigo dropped his head and shed a single tear, only to finally wipe it away in the next moment as he recalled where he was.
That's right.. He was in La Campana, a prestigious boarding school Ryan and everyone else had sent him to, blowing all of their hard-earned money in this one single application. They didn't tell him, but he had more or less guessed. How could he afford to waste his time crying, when his mates have threatened their own survival by spending all of their resources on him? How could he, when he had came here with a purpose, when he had vowed not to let them all down anymore? Biting down on his lower lip, Keigo shook his head to clear his thoughts; at the same moment, the young boy whipped around, tracing his path back to the information counter of the library. That's right, he could not afford to let time fly past him in this manner. Even if he couldn't read, he'd do his damned best to try. Urging his thin legs to pick up pace, Keigo pursed his lips and brisked towards the counter.
He found himself trembling as he stood a distance before the counter, staring blankly at the librarians as his mind raced; then he found himself glad to be able to run away without seemingly attracting the attention of the said librarians. Chest heaving up and down in rapid movements as he once again hid himself in the midst of the towering shelves, Keigo bit hard on his lower lip, and gave a muffled moan in denial, stopping to lean against a shelf as he trusted it enough support his weight.
He couldn't at all believed that he had actually wanted to ask the librarians for the location of their picture books - he'd seen one of those before, and he knew they would help him, but he didn't expect himself to be bold enough to ask. Afterall, this is the prestigious La Campana Boarding School.. Why would they even have picture books in the library?
Good job, Keigo, the boy laughed at himself mentally as he glued his eyes to the carpetted floor. Even though he hadn't actually embarrassed in front of the librarians and other students, he couldn't help but to feel ashamed by the very thought of him wanting to do so, and his naive helplessness. At that moment, Keigo truly felt like a lost sheep; without its herd, without even its shepherd to guide its way, he didn't know where to go, or what he could do. Wincing bitterly as he crossed his arms before his chest, grabbing his forearms in an almost defensive manner, Keigo dropped his head and teared up once again. He had always been taught by Ryan that only losers would cry; that boys have to be strong - what would Ryan say, if he ever saw him in this state? Keigo dared not even imagine.
Of course, if he was determined enough, he could search the whole library on his own for a kids' section; that's where picture books should be.. But this library is such a rich, vast place - Where was he to start?

Izuru let go a small sigh as he entered the large library of la campana school. The blond had just woken up from a small nap after a class. He had no homework to do on this fine afternoon. So the blue eyed cutie to go do some free reading at the school library. Instead of going back to his dorm to nothing. Zu bit his lips slightly and walked through the doors with a bored expression on his face. He then wondered into the deep forest of book shelves that engulfed up the whole large room were kids came to study.
As he wondered alone he say a cute little boy with his face to ground. Iz blinked at him a couple times thinking about how adorable he looked. The next thing that came to his mind was why the boy was looking to the ground. The boy could not be admiring the color of the carpet, because it was not the nicely color carpet that you could chose from the carpet catalog. Zu wondered if the boy would get mad at him for talking to him. Iz did not want to get yelled at by anyone at the moment.
But he could not just leave the smaller boy crying in the middle of the library by himself. That would be such a mean spirited thing to do. Iz was not like that at all, so he made his way over to the crying boy. When he arrived at the boys side his bit his lip slightly and looked down the carpet trying to gather his thoughts up. So he could deiced what to say to the cute little boy standing before him. " Um uh Hi there are you ok? Uh do you need some help?” The blond asked the other blond with a curious look of innocence and gentleness filling his blue orbs. [/size]
