Appearance:
One of the first things to notice about Katyusha is her rather… Enormous chest size. Lucky for her she (almost) has the right body size for it, meaning she is rather curvy. Though she is still quite top heavy, making it easier for her to fall on her face; so it’s not uncommon to see her sporting a bandage or a bruise on her face. Her short hair can make her look a tad childish, especially with the head band that she wears all the time. She can normally always be seen with her headband unless she is showering or sleeping, and sometimes she forgets to take it off even then. Unlike her siblings Katyusha eyes are bright blue in color. They contrast her pale skin, making them stand out even more.
Katyusha tends to favor wearing pants with suspenders on them, though depending on how hot or cold it is. It could either be pants or shorts, normally the same color blue as her eyes. Her shirt is normally a white collared shit that can either be short or long sleeved; around her neck is a bow the same color as her pants. She’ll wear black knee high boots no matter the weather though.
Personality: Katyusha is over all a very kind hearted person, puttering her heart into everything she does. Sometimes she’ll go out of her way to help others, just because she wants too, not because she wants anything out of it. She wants to be the opposite of what her hometown tried to instill in her. So sometimes she’ll even let people walk all over her, because she wants to be soft, because she wants to be kind. Katyusha will do anything to be the complete opposite of her hometown.
But she also happens to be a crybaby; it’s not hard to set her off. She’ll cry whether it’s tears of happiness or anguish, at the smallest things. When things do get serious though, she can control herself understanding that there are more important matters at hand. If something is bothering her, she’ll try to hide it to the best of her ability, which is pretty good. It’s something a big sister had to do, or at least that’s what she thought. That she had to be strong for her siblings, so she never showed them her pain. Katyusha simply smiled or let herself cry at little things, so that they would never know. Katyusha still isn’t quite sure if they ever picked up on her constant mask. She hopes they never did, or ever will. She still keeps this mask on.
Katyusha is very motherly. It wasn’t hard for her to pick up taking care of her sibling when their parents died; though if they were rambunctious she did have a little trouble keeping them in line, not really having the heart to punish them. She tried to be as nurturing as any mother could be, tried to be the best example. Tried to be everything that they would ever need, that they would want in a mother; she hopes that she succeeded. She loves them both dearly, and would be willing to do most anything for them.

History:
When Katyusha was a very young child, things were peaceful, her family struggled but as a child she didn’t have a care in the world. When she was two her brother Ivan was born, Katyusha who had always loved her family, couldn’t help but love him more then anyone. While he was a baby she was constantly by his side, singing songs, playing with him, trying to keep him out of harms way. But this peace didn’t last forever. One day someone decided to try and unite all of the surrounding villages, and this… only led to chaos. She watched helpless as everything changed around her, war and violence tore everything apart. And in this chaos her sister Natalia was born; Katyusha believe her to be a miracle amongst this hell. She loved her just as much as she loved Ivan, and took care of her in anyway she could. Silently she cried, for her siblings, for her dead parents, for the people, and in a small corner of her mind for herself.
When Ivan started with his ‘gangs’ Katyusha grew fearful, she was terrified about what would happen to him. Even in childish gangs, people got hurt, people got in trouble, and sometimes they even died. Katyusha wasn’t sure if she could handle it if Ivan died, with Natalia being as young as she was, Ivan had become her rock. The person she depended upon, even if it was just in him being there. On they days she could slip out without Ivan or Natalia noticing she tired to get them the things they needed. Food, money, clothes, anything, she did whatever she could to keep them afloat. Degrading things, hard things, things that no one should have to have done, but she did it, a smile adorning her features; she couldn’t show her pain. She hated the life they were living, hated seeing Ivan being used. She hated it even more when she saw how he was changing, so she turned a blind eye to it; pretended that he wasn’t changing, becoming someone so cruel. Even if she knew it in her heart, she did her best to ignore it and smile. No matter what she still loved Ivan.
Katyusha was constantly racked with guilt. Even if it wasn’t her fault, she couldn’t help but thinking that her siblings deserved a better life then this. It was too late for Ivan; she knew that no matter what she did, she couldn’t get Ivan to leave. So she made a decision that she still hates herself (but never regrets) to this day. She sent Natalia away. The day Natalia was taken away, all she could do was stand there smiling, tears running down her face. As soon as she was out of sight Katyusha broke down, she slumped to the ground and sobbed. She knew she would never forgive herself for this, and she prayed. To whatever higher being there was (if there was one, even Katyusha had begun to lose faith in there being one) that Natalia would never find out. She couldn’t handle Natalia hating her. Katyusha wasn’t sure if Ivan knew she had sent Natalia away, she hoped he didn’t… or at least would never tell their younger sister.
As time passed, she felt even more distant from Ivan. She knew what he did, of course she knew. She didn’t want to believe that Ivan…. Her Ivan could do things like that. That Ivan had become just like everyone else in the village. So she didn’t, turning a blind eye again to everything that was going on. Eventually she couldn’t handle it, her thoughts betraying her heart. She told Ivan that she was going to go teach, and she left. Telling him that she’d always be in contact and would come back (even if she didn’t want to) whenever Ivan needed her. She was devastated when she left but she knew that if she didn’t leave that place she’d lose whatever sanity she had left.
She taught at a few different schools, never staying in one place for long. She wanted to travel see the world as she never had before. Eventually she began to miss the stability of having a constant home, of having friends that she could see almost everyday. So she started to look around for a good school. Eventually she ran across La Campana and loved it. So she tried to get a job teaching home ec. Cooking as well as Clothing and Textiles was what she was best at.
Roleplaying Sample:
Katyusha fell to her knees, metal pole hitting the snow besides her. Not even her tears could blur what she saw in front of her; a man, a dead man, a man who she had killed. Fate was cruel wasn’t it? Not only had it killed her parents leaving her to take care of her siblings, it had thrown her entire hometown into hell, and now it had made her a murderer. She hadn’t meant to kill the man, only scare him. After all she was just a small girl, young, and naive, hurt, and bearing too much responsibility for someone her age. She had just wanted to protect her siblings. Still she couldn’t stop herself from crying. Promises, promises, she had promised herself that she wouldn’t let what her hometown had become infect her. She had broken that promise to herself.
She got up shakily, barely able to hold herself up. She wanted to just walk away leave this all behind her; at least the most she could. She knew that this event would haunt her for the rest of her life. She stared at his lifeless face. It was his fault right? He had been planning on hurting them. She had heard him talking to himself; muttering about wiping out the brats so he could take their home. Telling himself that he had to kill them to keep himself alive. Laughing about how easy it would be. Katyusha had felt something in her snap; something she knew she would never get back. After that it had all been a blur of screams, blood, and the sound of bones breaking. Something felt hallow inside of her now, it was probably whatever that snap had been.
Mostly regaining her composure, she walked over to the corpse. There was still something he was useful for. Katyusha searched him, for money, food, weapons, anything that could help her and her siblings. Grabbing whatever she could find she stuffed it into her pockets. Now her clothes were they only problem. She had gotten blood on them; and it’s not like her siblings wouldn’t ask. So she stripped of her shirt and ripped out the pieces that had blood on it. To her a shirt was nothing compared to her siblings finding out what she had done. Dearest Ivan, sweet Natalia; her siblings never had to know what she had done. Her siblings never had to know that she would do it again to save them.
