Why they are in La Campana: people at his school thought he was stalking them, going to either rape them or kill them since he comes off as one of 'those' kids, and when his parents found out that he was staring at guys just as much as girls, they sent him to La Campana, hoping that they'd be able to fix their son's muteness while pushing him into contact with girls.

Appearance: If you catch Jayden out at night, especially if there is a full moon, you will at first think that you have seen a ghost. Then when you realize that he's an actual living person, you'll probably think he's albino. But he's not. He's just very pale, with nearly-white blond hair. He's small, nearly underweight, and almost looks sickly and frail. However, the most startling thing about Jayden, is his piercing blue eyes. They look like they were carved from a mix of ice and sky, nearly white around the pupil, but fade into an ice blue.
Jayden's features are soft, with no hard angles on any part of his body, and he's slightly feminine looking, leading to a androgyny that seems to surround him. He dresses plainly, though most of his clothes are slightly looser on him, do to his smaller frame and weight, which only adds to the effect. His lashes are femininely long and dark, though there is no makeup, similarly with his lips which are nicely, almost falsely colored. His limbs and fingers are slender, adding to the delicately feminine look about him. His hair is shortish, but, like his skin, so very soft. But he won't let you touch it.
Personality:You've seen the kids that are labled 'most likely to turn into a stalker/serial killer/rapist' right? Well, that's pretty much Jayden. He'll watch you. Constantly. And write notes in a little note/sketchbook of his, occasionally doodling out the person for future reference of a full page drawing later on. He takes notes on someone's behaviors, appearance, speech patterns, etc. and then will later note them into a large file, one section per person, updating the information as he observes them more. However, he's not a stalker/serial killer/rapist, nor will he ever be. Jayden is doing this in the name of research on the human mind.
He is silent majority of the time, and nine times out of ten, when he does open his mouth, it's something insulting. However, you only get a vague sense of insult unless you have a high vocabulary. If you don't, it's doubly insulting, as you have to find a dictionary in order to realize with certainty that he had insulted you. However, if yu're one of the lucky few who don't make his first words to you something horrible, you will probably find that he's incredibly profound for a sixteen year old. However under normal circumstances he will just write out whatever he has to say.

&&--A glimpse of the past
Father: Daniel Carter (37)
Mother: Lynda Carter (35)
Sibling/s: none
Other important relatives: Jessica Miller (16) cousin
Pets:White short-hair cat, 18 months, Tridecalogism (who is coming to the school with him if it's allowed)
History:Jayden was always a strange child. From a very young age he could read on his own, and that's all he did. He also spoke very little, and avoided it at all costs when he could. His parents could not find any explanation for this, even though Jayden was sent to multiple psychiatrists. One thing they did find out was that all of his reading had brought him ahead of his class in nearly all subject areas. As a result, he wound up skipping third grade.
All of his now 'younger' classmates were amazed by this, yet he didn't make any friends. If anything, it had brought scorn and torment around him. Throughout his school years, his talents evened out, showing him to be highly advanced in linguistic and scientific processes, however he wasn't nearly as advanced, and quite possibly lacking in historical and mathematic subjects of similar levels. Jayden also isn't coordinated enough or physically strong enough to play sports or excel in gym class.
Before coming to La Campana Jayden was seen as the 'weird' kid. The one that was most likely to turn into a stalker, or bring in a gun and shoot the place up. However, Jayden will rarely resort to physical violence to get his point across. Most students however gave this no mind, and either bullied him for being 'mute' (when in reality he has a very nice voice), or ignored him, giving him a wide birth due to his strangeness. In the beginning of his highschool years he had one friend. However, that person is now with the 'Jayden Carter is the world's biggest lunatic/freak' party. Some people just can't handle their friend saying that they are an 'observer of the human race'. Apparently it makes them seem like an alien of some sort. Who would have thought?
There was one person that stood out from the rest however, and was the main factor in sending Jayden to La Campana. There are times when 'strange' behavior will get extra attention from the ghostly boy, which garners him the title of 'stalker'/'rapist'/'murderer' titles. This person got several full body sketches in his notebook (fully clothed, and in a normal position, not anything candid) and pages upon pages of notes.
First the student became concerned that there was something wrong in Jayden's head, followed by the teacher when she confiscated the notebook and found the 'stalking' of the boy, then his parents who thought (in a moment of stress and panic) that this meant he was twisted and gay, and that the two were combined, so not only did they send him to La Campana to fix his 'gayness' hoping that in turn it would fix his strange selective muteness and his 'stalker' behavior as well because they suspected that the 'symptoms' were all linked to his 'homosexuality'. In truth Jayden is quite borderline asexual, though for very few people that seems to fade away (at least to him) and he has a incredibly subtle way of showing affection.
Roleplaying Sample: Words. The beauty and foundation of mankind itself. Without words there would be no civilization. Without words they were simply just other animals. Without words there was no way to count, or express counting to someone else. No way to share. There was no way to be who they were without language.
However, not all language was spoken. People just didn't understand that these days. Words were taken for granted these days. He had watched it happen. Boys said 'I love you' to get sex, and left girls bawling after their novelty had run dry. Even as a child he could tell, through the TV while his parents watched the news and complained about how everything was messed up, he was able to understand that people meant one thing and said another. or said one thing and did another, or both.
He had also resolved to watching people then too. Like he was doing now. Watching them and sketching them out. Currently his focus was on a tan boy, dark hair, dark eyes, obviously focused on anything but studying. Study hall was the perfect time to catch people at their most open. Nobody expected any other student to be watching them in study hall. Some slept, some snuck off to the back of the library to make out, others stared at the ceiling, but few actually studied.
He was one of the few that never wanted to leave. However he did. He watched people change from school zombies into teenagers. Beings entirely different from their former selves.
It was the transitions that gave him more complete notes. The before and afters. He had piles of notes that Tridecalogism would sit and watch him enter into the computer The transitions that let him see the rise of endorphins at the end of the day, and the longing glances away as the first bell rang.
He would understand the human mind.
Someday.
