Appearance: If you were to see Ami's weight on a piece of paper, you wouldn't believe that the small dancer weighed as much as she did, until you tried to lift her against her will. Then you'd realize that she's like lead when she wants to be. Ami is nearly 100% muscle, though it's not obvious. Especially not with the way she eats. Her metabolism is very high to start with, and she does enough moving throughout the day to burn off the calories from all of the utter crap that she eats.
She's usually dressed in jeans and a comfortable shirt, sometimes with a slogan or something on it, sometimes without. She'll wear heels just as often as she wears tennis shoes though, and her hair, red as blood, is either down, or partially in a ponytail or pigtails, depending on her mood. Ami also has a pair of jade green eyes with sparkle with emotion, and stand out against her pale skin which holds the slightest dusting of freckles.
For those who are fortunate enough to get a close enough look, the observant will probably notice the fact that there is a very thin line crisscrossing her spine from the small of her back all the way up to the back of her neck. It's easier to notice by touch, or after it's been pointed out. However, getting the story of how she aquired this is very difficult to obtain, as she hates talking about it and would rather change the subject.
Personality: Ami is the kind of person who will always help someone who needs it. She's not afraid of people who are violent or dangerous because if they hit her, and are much bigger than her, then she knows that several people won't even need to be asked to go avenge her. Not like she'd want them to, but it's a nice notion. It takes a lot to get Ami really upset, and usually that blows over fairly quickly as well. Generally though, she's fun loving and always in a good mood.
Ami will stand up for what she believes in, and is a very opinionated person. It's also better if you don't get on her bad side, because she can make someone's life hell if she really wants to. But it's nothing more than simple aggrivations usually. She doesn't really care for fighting, but she can if she has to, and she definitely packs some power for being a small thing. However, it's rare that she'll actually strike someone.
She has a very faint bit of paranoia and avoidance concerning her family. If asked, she'll say that they're all alive and well, and leave that at that. She won't hesitate to say that she left home at sixteen for dance school however, and would much rather talk about that than continue to talk about what she left behind. Occasionally they'll call, and it will leave her nervous and fairly sleepless for days.[/font]

History:Okay, since you need my history, lets start with the basics. My name is Ami Hawthorne. I have three first names and one last name. My full name is Amilynn Katrine Hawthorne, hence the three first names. It's not that bad of a name, I could have had a lot worse, considering my parents. I'm an only child, and my parents are completely insane.
And I don't mean that in the normal 'like to run around and embarass their kid' way either. I mean, hold matriarchal cult meetings in the basement where they drink animal blood and try to do necromancy kind of weird.
What's worse is I think it worked.... Not on anything human of course, but on animals.
Needless to stay I didn't stick around any longer than I had to. My parents were nice people. My father went out and worked, and then came home and treated my mother and I like we were goddesses, which was nice. They also put me into ballet. Which is where the story really starts.
I fell in love with dance. It became my life. I ate it, slept it, dreamed it and breathed it. Juilliard became my goal, and I worked ceaselessly in school to achieve it. Which was more difficult than it looked, as my only 'good' subjects in school were english and foreign language. I learned French quickly to help with ballet, but the language was just so pretty that I had to continue.
I took summerschool every year, with the maximum amount of classes that I could, so I graduated highschool at sixteen, due to the extra credits that I had accumulated. But I didn't stop there, I managed to get into Juilliard. I would have gotten a dance degree this year had I made it all the way through.
And no, I know what you're thinking, I didn't quit. I was kicked out. You see, I had one little problem with that goal. I couldn't afford it on my own, and since my parents were really upset with me going off and doing things like that instead of 'finding a good husband' so I could take over whatever my mother was doing in the basement, they refused to help me pay for it.
Which was fine with me. I managed to score a job in a strip club. That brought in a lot of money for me. I know seventeen year olds aren't supposed to get jobs there, but I looked older, and seemed older, and had some of the best moves of anyone. So they hired me.
It would have been going fine without that one little itsy bitsy slip up. The dean came in. Now that wasn't the problem. I was 18 at that time and wherever I wanted to work I could work so long as I didn't cause trouble.
The problem was, it was dark, and he wanted a lap dance. Since I couldn't tell who he was, I said yes, because they paid the best, and bills were due soon.
Well... when it was found out, that didn't go over so well, and I had to leave. I still finished my degree at a different college. I heard about La Campana over the internet, and I realized that even if it was a 'reform' school, the boys there were probably more interested in dance, not to mention it put me out of range of my Florida based parents. I don't have a southern Accent though, if anything it's more New Yorky than anything. But most people tell me that I don't have one, and I've talked to people from all over the United States.
Anyways, I'm really excited to be teaching!
I don't really date much, but that's fine with me, I've found most guys suck royally anyways. I tend to always like the ones that have some sort of major emotional scarring. That will translate into various ways, but I don't like hospitals much.... Or the ICU. Not fun at all.
But lets not talk about that, I hate talking about that.
I wanna meet my students!
Roleplaying Sample: This would certainly be a new experience for her. She didn't know how to deal with students as students, but she didn't want to be one of those 'conventional' teachers either.
After all, she taught dance. Dance isn't about teaching a lesson, it's about expressing yourself. Sure there'd be exams and history and such, but for the most part it was all movement. Maybe their final exam would be a paired up project, where they and a partner, or a small group would have to make up a dance routine for the class. That would certainly be interesting. Really, she only had things planned out maybe two lessons ahead of time. She needed to figure out what the students could do, and what they knew. Which is what the first classes were for.
