Appearance:
As a young man of 17, Eduard is an average height, weight, and build. With sandy blond hair that is evenly cut, the bangs stop short enough to just barely touch the rims of his square glasses and soft blue eyes. A pleasant person in appearance, there is very little harshness about it. He is the type of male who appears and dresses like a very responible and proper guy--the type a father would have no problem with taking his daughter on a date. He dresses very sensibly with a tendency towards canvas jackets, button up shirts, and ties. He can come off as nerdy in his appearance and interests, yet handsome in the same regarding. He is not muscular, yet he is also no meer pushover. He can hold his own in terms of weight and force.
Personality:
He is a calm and calculating person with a soft-spoken quality to him. A man who can see all angles of a situation and disect it from the inside out. He is the type of person who is far more content to sit quietly and watch something until he can understand it perfectly instead of rushing head long in. He especially enjoys taking things apart and seeing if he can place them back together again--he gets a strange fascination in what many people would consider dull tinkerings. Entire days could be spent trying to figure out one specific math problem. In this way, he can be a perfectionist sometimes. But it only seems to be with objective things that he is like that with. When it comes to people and things of subjective natures, he puts no effort into his analysis and only hopes that it comes with time.
You see, Eduard is a lad with his wits about him. An intelligent boy to say the least, he has never received a grade below an A. He is logical but never uses his logic to boast or insult others. He is trainquil in being smart for the sake of being smart, and being able to use it for his hobbies.
Eduard is a pleasant person to be around and almost always makes friends with the people he comes into contact with. He has good relationships with those he knows (even Ivan), and has almost never had to invovle himself in any fighting or major unpleasantness. He avoids problems at all costs, even if that cost is playing ignorant and pretending that the initial offense had never occured. Over the years he has learned how to avoid problems to an expert level. He has thus retained a sense of normalcy and security that his "brothers" and many others he know lack. He sometimes feels bad for selfishly placing his needs above others, but he will always remind himself that it is how he has stayed safe so far. He cares for people deeply and easily, but he is a very calculating person as stated earlier. If he sees a friend in trouble, he will consider self-preservation and necessity first. He isn't the person to go to if someone upset you and you want him to get revenge. He simply won't. He is far more eager to avoid all problems he can and sweep them under a rug. He does his best to make enemies with no one, and ignores issues that people bring his way. When people try to gossip to him or tell him rumors, he quickly shuts them off. He wants nothing to do with all of that malice, he would say.

Eduard’s pale blue eyes narrowed to slits, his frown creasing the corners of his mouth as he held the small Latvian to him. He utterly refused to let the whimpering boy go. He did not need to ask Riavis what had happened that had shaken him so badly. He saw how Ivan treated him every day. He knew how it felt to be seen as “prey” in the Russian man’s eyes. He knew—he was just another sheep to be slaughtered to that wolf as well. So he did not ask why the boy was crying, or why the shattered pieces of a clay statue scattered all over the ground. His vice like grip tightened around Riavis, aware that the youngster was completely using him for support. Eduard ran his chapped hands through the Latvian’s hair. He whispered sweet nothings and soft apologies into his ear, for he had no other words to give. He loved his “brother” enough to not lie to him.
It pained him more than he could say to hold the sobbing child. Riavis was too young and too naïve to understand, but Eduard could see what was happening. They were all Ivan’s subordinates and Riavis had the blunt of it. He was the youngest to start, and needed Ivan the most. Where Eduard could come and go between periods of self-sufficiency and minor instability, Riavis was stuck. It pained him all the worse knowing that he could do nothing about it short of risking his own health and safety to stand up to Ivan.
It was only a thought in his own mind, but Eduard shook his head against Riavis’ as if he had announced it aloud. He loosened his grip on the boy until he was sure that Riavis would have his footing again. He then let go and gave the violet eyed youth a comforting smile. He placed a soft brotherly kiss to the boy’s forehead. It was the only help he could give.
