A new beginning to a new story. That was what her family was telling her, it was just like a new book, the pages unwritten. That seemed to explain her life well, a book unwritten, after being inside for so many years Aerya Levathyn didn’t know much about others. She liked to watch other peoples, how they acted, who they were, if they had a disease they hid like she did. Her asthma kept her from numerous activities. Now she was La Campana, a reform school in Barcelona, Spain. Aer would never know what led her to this school exactly, she wasn’t homosexual.
After being inside for so long Aer wondered if she was going to make any friends at all. Clutching her black stuffed cat closer to her, looking her mother in the eyes for what seemed might be the last time for a long while, Aer couldn’t even manage a smile. Her mother smoothed out Aer’s black dress, smiling and chatting on about how things would be ok, while her tears ran down her face. Aerya didn’t cry, she didn’t see the need, her mother was the one sending her away anyways so why cry, she did nothing wrong. Aer did nothing to make her parents think that she was homosexual or bisexual like her older brother, the only thing she did do was watch people, having no emotion and no friends didn’t make her a lesbian or bisexual.
Turning towards the gates to school she gives one last hug to her mother, and to her father, then with a slight wave she heads into the gates. The school seemed really big, or that was just her nerves talking. Aer knew she wouldn’t get lost, she had looked at the map long enough to know the school inside and out. Maybe Aer was more nervous about the people waiting inside for her. She wasn’t afraid that anyone was going to hurt her, she was used to pain, physical at least, she hadn’t been outside long enough to be able to be hurt emotionally by someone. Aerya was sure though that she would not befriend anyone that soon, she was too quiet, short, and most people seemed to try and distance themselves from her.
Slipping a blonde strand of hair out of her eyes she fixes her black headband and clutches her stuffed cat closer to her taking a deep breath, no need to have an asthma attack on the first day at a new school. Walking to the school she wondered what would happen in this new school. So many new things awaited her, maybe she would learn how to act like a real 12 year old instead of like an adult. Her nerves were working and she put her hand to her chest to mentally stabilize her breathing, though she refused to have an asthma attack, she had much to do today, and she wasn’t going to miss anything because she had another asthma attack. This new adventure was about ready to start, all she had to do was walk forward, one foot in front of the other.

Gin. The boy had lost track of him, as they didn't have all their classes together. Now, school was ending, and the boy was still gone. Ronen had been excused from Gym today, cause he had hurt his knee, falling yet again, so now he was walking with a limp. He wasn't exactly sure what to do, since it was the middle of class, and he was wandering the halls. It was last period, and though the teacher had given him a hall pass, intending him to go back to his dorm, Ronen didn't want to. He was going to wait for Gin, but he had the WHOLE period to wait. And there was nothing to do.
As he walked, still limping, Ronen began to sing, very quietly, as to not disturb anyone in classes. "So baby keep my heart, beep ba beep beep beating. You're the sole reason I keep believing. We're gonna die like this you know, oh oh oha." Of course, it referenced him and Gin. Without Gin, Ronen truly didn't find life worth living. Something caught Ronen's eye, and his train of thought stopped, as the boy turned to see it. Someone was walking towards the entrance to the school. As no one was escorting them, he assumed it was a new person, and not a runaway. Why anyone would run away from this school, Ronen would never understand. Here, you got to be you, and no one cared. So, why would you leave? It made no sense to him, not at all.
Ronen, curious as ever, stepped closer to where the person was walking to, the entrance. Who was it? He always liked meeting new people. As he neared the entrance, still looking at the person, he realized it was a girl, and stopped. Ugh. He didn't like girls. Well, the girls back home, they had liked him, acting as if he were a cute little puppy, or their adorable little brother. Especially once they found out he didn't like like girls. It was kind of nice, and he adored the attention. But the girls here... They were always busy with their boyfriends or girlfriends, and didn't pay attention to him at all. Maybe it was because he was always trailing after Gin? He hadn't been so clingy with the boy before he came to this school, and the girls were always the ones cheering him up back home. In fact, he had a penpal, who went to this school. He was debating meeting her sometimes, just so they could get to know each other in person.
Still... this girl might be the like the ones back home. After all, Ronen wasn't trailing after Gin right now, cause the older boy wasn't here, and the girl looked young to have a boyfriend or girlfriend... or maybe she was just short. Didn't matter, the least he could do was say hi, as he was the only one in the hallways. Yes, that would work.
Ronen limped towards the girl, grinning despite himself. "Hello! Are you new?" As he approached her, he noticed the cat she was holding. It was cute... but he wasn't a fan of cats. It wasn't real, though, so he could tolerate it. It helped the cat was cute. Stopping by the girl, Ronen grinned at her, waiting for her response.

Aerya looked up as an older boy limped up to her. She wondered if he had hurt himself or if he had some sort of disease that made him like that, like her asthma made her quiet.
"Hello! Are you new?"
Did they always have someone greet people as they came in, and how many people actually went to the school. Those were all thoughts that ran through her head. Nodding at the older boy she gazes at him with her purple eyes, her face still emotionless. "Yes. I'm Aerya Levathyn." Her mother had told her that when she made it in, if she told someone her name they would know who she was and where to take her. She doubted this guy was a teacher, highly doubted it, but maybe he was in some sort of greeting club?
The school was seeming more and more interesting by the moment. "What happened to your leg?" Being stuck inside she didn't really know what was too personal of a question or not or if she was being impolite. She was generally curious about people. She liked to think about what made them tick, and what their secrets were. She was a curious 12 year old, which wasn't unusual for 12 years old at all.
Bringing her hand down from her chest her breathing calming again she looked around. They appeared to be the only two in halls, so maybe the others were still in class, it had been a long flight after all. She looked at the tiny diamond watch on her wrist, yes definitely still class time for the other students. That fact made her wonder what this boy was doing out of class too. A hint of curiousity lit up her eyes. Aerya had many things to learn about this new school

The lack of emotion in the girl's eyes was a bit strange, but, then again, many things were strange around here. So Ronen didn't comment on it. "Well, I'm Ronen Uzziel!" He announced, in response to the girl's introduction. She seemed quite nice, much like the girls back home. Maybe it was because she was younger, or maybe it was because she was new here, but Ronen didn't care. Nice people were always welcome, as far as he was concerned.
"What happened to your leg?" Ronen's grin changed to a sheepish smile. "I kind of... tripped and fell. I'm really clumsy." His grin returned full force, however. "On the plus side, though, I get to skip Gym for the next week, maybe two! That's why I'm out right now. Everyone else is in class." She deserved a bit of an explanation, at the least. It must be a little weird for him to be out here, when there were absolutely no people at all besides him.
Since he had nothing else to do, should he help her? Gin was still in class, and would be for quite awhile, so maybe he should talk to her. Curiousity ate away at him, and he bit his lip, contemplating for a moment. Yeah, he should stay and help. Grinning, Ronen hung his arm around her shoulders, stepping closer. "Well, welcome to the school, Aerya! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun here!" He was absolutely unconcerned with the physical contact. First of all, being gay, touching girls, at least nice ones, wasn't a problem for him. And secondly, Ronen liked hugs, even if this didn't technically qualify as one. Normally, by now he would've embraced her, as she was cute (as in adorable, like a puppy), and he liked cute things, but he wasn't sure she would like that. Grin still in place, Ronen waited for her reaction.

"Well, I'm Ronen Uzziel!"
Nodding she looked at the boy. "It's nice to meet you Ronen." He seemed like a nice boy, she wondered if he was gay, was everyone at the school going to be homosexual? She strongly doubted that, Aer was smart enough to know that parents were always worried about their kids and their wellfare. Aerya had spent many years with her parents doing whatever they could to make her better.
Nodding again at Ronen's explination it made sense. "Ah I see." She would have troubles in gym. "Will I have to take gym, with asthma?" Surely they wouldn't try and kill her, that would be wrong. Maybe they had a program for students with chronic asthma. Though Aer doubted there was other students with chronic asthma. She was used to being alone, she had hardly any visitors when she was sick, besides her mother and father. There was no friends to visit her after all.
Aerya looked up at Ronen when he placed his arm around her shoulder, the tiniest of smiles on her lips, it probably looked more like a smirk, or a twitch. "Thank you, I'm sure it will be interesting." Aer was almost excited now to start school, but it didn't show. She had over heared her mother calling her emotionless as they discussed sending her to the school. What emotions would she have after being stuck in her room with an oxygen tank since birth. Either way, Aer still had butterflies in her stomache as she waited for Ronen to lead the way, she had no idea where she was going, the older boy seemed to have been here awhile so he could lead her.
"Is there a lot of students here?" It was something that Aer was curious about since she had heard about her new school. It sounded like a dumb question, but who knew, maybe there was more than people would think.

"Will I have to take Gym, with asthma?"
Ronen was surprised. "You have asthma? One of my friends does, and according to her, it sucks." Poor Alexis. For her, she had to do some of Gym, like the warm-ups, and the easy stuff. When they played volleyball, for example, she was asked to join in. Most of the time, however, she just skipped the class, with permission from the teacher. "You'll probably get to skip most of it, but they'll make you do the easy parts. Depends on how bad your answer is."
"Is there a lot of students here?"
Ronen shrugged. "Depends on what you consider 'a lot' to be. I know there are over 100, but I'm not sure if there are 200... So, I've yet to meet everyone." This girl certainly had quite a few questions, but that was okay. He'd had plenty of questions when he got here, like last week, and Gin had answered all of them. This girl didn't have anyone she knew, like he knew Gin, to answer all of her questions. So, Ronen'd try to fill that position.
"Come on!" He told her grinning, and grabbing her hand, removing his arm from around her. With that, Ronen began to pull her behind himself, as he walked towards the office. "Taken you to the office! You'll get your class schedule and dorm assignments there." Since the dorms were co-ed, maybe she'd be in a dorm by him! That'd be nice! His dorm was already full, though, so she couldn't be with him. Ronen liked this girl, mostly because she hadn't asked him what gender he was. It was so annoying when people did that. Yes, he was a girly-boy. Don't need to mention it all the time.
"So, how old are you?" Ronen asked, as they walked toward the office. "You look younger than most of the kids here... or are you just short?" He giggled like a girl. "Don't take that wrong. Oh, and I'm seventeen!" Ronen announced, grinning back at her.

Aerya nodded at Ronen's answer, she would probably get out of gym then, seeing as her asthma was life threatening half the time. Then again asthma attacks could be considered life threatening all of the time seeing as you can't breathe and all. "I see." She would have to talk to her teacher about that one then.
Ronen then ansered her question on how many students there were and her purple eyes grew a little. 200 was not a lot of students all. That probably meant class sizes were small. At her last school there had been more than 200 kids in her grade alone instead of the whole school. "Interesting, that is not a lot of people."
"Taken you to the office! You'll get your class schedule and dorm assignments there."
Aer nodded, it was nice ot have someone help her instead of trying to do it on her own, what did they expect out of her, just because her family was rich, Aerya was only 12 and though she sometimes liked to be alone, most of the time she attempted to avoid being alone. "Are the dorms nice?" Aer assumed that they might be big, her old room had been rather large, and well it didn't suit her as much, too big, and too pink for her tastes.
Then Ronen asked for her age, if she was the only 12 year old there then she was going home, she did not want to be the youngest, she was already the baby of the family, she didn't want to be the youngest out of her whole school. "Twelve, and I am short." She was a bit short for her age but nothing to bad. Aer liked to think it was because of her albinoism that she was shorter but that didn't really seem logical.

Ronen frowned slightly at her question, considering it. "Well, I like the dorms," he told Aerya, smiling. "But some of the rich snobs around here complain about them." He stuck out his tongue, making it clear what he thought of those rich snobs. They were annoying. Now, Ronen slowed down his pace a little, as his knee was starting to bug him. Stupid knee. It hurt to walk, and that stunk. Still, it got him out of gym, which wasn't so bad. Not bad at all.
So she was twelve years old. And, according to herself, short. Ronen smiled. "That's okay. I was really short, too, until a half a year ago. I'm still fairly short for my age, though." He let out a small smile. "You probably can't tell, though, since I'm five years old than ya." Ya. Ronen used to never say that word, but he had picked it up from Gin, who said it a lot. Ah, Gin... He wondered what his lover would say about Aerya. Hopefully, the two wouldn't meet, because otherwise, Gin would probably begin messing with Aerya's head. Ronen didn't mind when Gin did it to him, but not with other people.
There! They were at the office! Ronen smiled, releasing Aerya's hand. "Ladies first!" he announced, holding open the door. The plain, gray office was deserted, except for an older lady at the desk, who looked up in surprise when she saw them. Ronen wasn't surprised. He had just been there, and talked to the same lady, about a week ago, so she was probably surprised to see him again. Plus, they didn't get new students very often. After all, La Campana "catered to a select group of students". Bah. Stupid. ooc: SO Sorry about the delay! I had no muse at all... T_T[/size]

"But some of the rich snobs around here complain about them."
Aerya frowned a little bit. She didn't consider herself a snob but she was definitely rich, thats how her parents could afford all the treatment that she got as a child. They did something like invent the thing that went around coffee, or something like that, honestly she had no idea. But she didn't want to appear like one of the rich snobs, not if that was going to get her disliked.
"I don't mind being short, it just makes some things a little more difficult." She nodded softly clutching her doll closely as they walked towards the office. He opened the door for her and she nodded and walked in to look at the older lady. Looking up at Ronen she didn't know what to do. But she walked slowly up to the older lady. "I'm Aerya Levathyn, I just arrived, my parents probably called ahead..." The older lady smiled handing Aerya her schedule, and her dorm assignment, room One of the east wing it appeared to be.
Looking back at Ronen she didn't know what to do now, she had the things she needed, what else was there for her to do. "Is that everything I need to do?" It was just so different and intimidating for her. Bringing her hand up to her chest to steady her pounding heart she took a deep breathe. No need to get worked up and have an asthma attack. She really didn't want to look weak in front of the others. She didn't think she would make many friends but she didn't want people fussing over her like her parents and nurse did. ooc: Its ok ^__^

It was a good thing Aerya took being short like that. Ronen knew some girls back home that spazzed out about their height, and tried everything they could to get taller. None of their ideas worked. The boy patiently held the door, waiting for Aerya to get her stuff from the lady. All of his weight was on his good leg, with the hurt one balanced awkwardly, bent and with nothing on it. The process went rather quickly, at least, quicker than his had gone. But his parents hadn't called ahead. Ronen had been left to fend for himself, but that had been okay. He hadn't really minded.
As Aerya looked back at him, a question on her lips, Ronen shook his head. "Not really. You'll hafta get your books tomorrow, because the book store's only open in the mornings. And the weekends." Anything else? He racked his mind, before concluding that no, there wasn't anything else, unless he had forgotten something. Which was very very possible, considering his habits. "We could go check out your room, though, if you want!" Would she like to see her room? Most likely.
Then, Ronen realized what he was saying. Sure, HE wouldn't mind, even if it was a girl's room. After all, girls, well, didn't matter to him. Only Gin did. But... Aerya might not want him. Ronen blushed, stammering. "I-I mean, I can show you to the dorms, and help you find your room." It didn't matter how young Aerya was, she still might not like a guy around her room. Even if he was gay. And she didn't know that either, to boot, so...
He blushed harder, waiting for Aerya's answer. Oh God, he was tactless. Yes yes, very tactless. How would she react?
