Being happy was a lot harder than everyone tells you. They say you have to smile and it will brighten other people's days. But Tech had walked past a number of smiling faces. All of them made him sick in the stomach. But he had to be happy. He had to keep his spirits up and try to brighten everyone else's day. When has Tech ever even thought of doing such? He started recently. If Tech is happy, Travis is happy. That is how it works, isn't it? Though Travis seemed to end up sad anyways and a sad Travis equals an obviously worried Tech. But it was true that being sad wasn't going to make anything better. Being angry, worried or overall depressed wasn't going to help anyone except maybe Tech's father. Why would that man pass up the chance to hear about his son being miserable? Or his son's soon to be husband, for that matter. The man was probably searching for reasons right now to break them apart, but Tech wouldn't let that happen. For the next six years, he was going to be with Travis unless Travis said no.
Tech needed time to himself. Sure, he already got a lot of it. But he always spent that time trying to get Travis to stay with him or worrying over Travis. Now he was getting alone time where he wasn't begging for someone to be with him. It was just him and his thoughts. He needed time to think. He needed to think a lot. Since arriving at La Campana, he really hadn't stopped to gather his thoughts of everything that has happened so far. And Tech had been here for three or so months now. It was about time he got some time to figure out what was going on in his life. He had to gather his thoughts before it lead to something bad happening. Tech wouldn't know what to do if something happened right now. Anything. Maybe he gets hurt or goes crazy. Not yet. It's not even February yet. But it was close. Just over a month and he'd be getting married. He had to take a deep breath every time he reminded himself of that. They weren't even ready. They had some things figured out, but would it really be ready in time?
'With every appearance by you, blinding my eyes, I can hardly remember the last time I felt like I do. You're an angel disguised.'
The words were sang softly and quietly as Tech peered around the courtyard, making sure first that no one else was here. First, he didn't wish to be caught singing. Up until coming to La Campana, Tech had never heard a song with words to it. Now he always has the radio on while he's in his room and listening to whatever song comes on, no matter the language. Borrowing his brother's iPod had helped. The words to all the songs just stuck to his memory like glue. Second, Tech came out here for alone time. He could deal with people showing up later on but he wanted at least a few peaceful minutes to himself and that couldn't happen if there was anyone around. Thankfully, the coast seemed clear. Unless there were people hiding in the bushes or up in the trees, Tech was pretty sure he had the courtyard all to himself for now. Maybe everyone else was sleeping? The good children, maybe. It was about ten at night. The young good children. There probably weren't many teenagers who chose to go to bed by ten. But the courtyard still appeared empty.
'And you're lying real still, But your heartbeat is fast just like mine. And the movie's long over, That's three that have passed, one more's fine.'
Tech allowed his voice to get louder as he stepped up onto the ledge of the fountain. He paused his song only to eye the water loudly falling from the dolphin into the fountain. The sound of the water was loud enough to drown out the noise of animals and crickets. It managed to push away most of the bad thoughts from his mind. The ones that he really didn't want to think about. You know, the ones that were probably really important but would kill him inside just to be mentioned. But now he was left with the good things to think over. Thoughts about how he was away from his father and would never have to go back to him as long as he had Travis to love. Of course, he had thoughts about Travis. Only the good ones. All about how perfect the other boy was. He was handsome, he was kind, he had the most beautiful voice. And one of the greatest things? He would never label Tech as not being good enough for him. Though the fact that Tech didn't think he reached Travis's standards in anyways were in his mind. Far back in his mind with every thought that wasn't needed right now.
'Will you stay awake for me? I don't want to miss anything. I don't want to miss anything. I will share the air I breathe, I'll give you my heart on a string, I just don't wanna miss anything.'
Slowly and cautiously, Tech began walking around the edge of the fountain. Eyes on his feet for each step so that he wouldn't fall into the water. He wore no shoes and it got him a better grip on the ledge. His hands were stuffed deep into the pockets of the black sweatpants he was wearing. Between the song he was singing and all the thoughts he was having about how wonderful Travis was and that he managed to end up with someone so perfect, Tech could feel happiness bubbling up inside of him. The boy didn't need someone's smile in order to be happy. Just find a pretty location to spend alone with your good thoughts. That's all Tech needed to be happy after going through so many troubles. But there were more happy times than sad ones. Tech was set on believing that fact forever. More happy times with Travis than sad ones. With anyone else, it doesn't count. Tech was planning to wipe away his past with his father from his memory entirely.
'I'm trying real hard not to shake. I'm biting my tongue, But I'm feeling alive with every breath that I take, I feel like I've one. You're my key to survival.'
Letting out a deep, almost dreamy sigh, the boy dropped hopped down from the edge of the fountain. With a smile on his face, he wrapped his arms tight around himself and began humming the tune rather than singing along the rest. Though he did know all the other words. The only problem was that his mood had suddenly risen so high that, if he were to sing any longer, it would probably end with him yelling out the lyrics instead. Tech's bubbly and cheerful mood was not caused by alcohol. He preferred staying away from that substance as often as he could. And there was no way that the boy was high off some sort of drug. The boy didn't even take Aspirin when he had a headache! He doesn't do drugs. He was merely high of his happiness and there was no better way to put it. And his happiness was shown just but his smile and the fact that he was spinning- no, dancing- with himself in the middle of a courtyard.

He was slowly figuring this out, slowly but surely he was able to find his way around the school without getting lost. Today he was a little lost but mostly he was exploring the school to figure it out more. This was his new home, he wanted to know it as best as he could. The school did seem pretty quiet though he had only bumped into a few people so far.
You'll see more eventually, just call if you need me.
Snow grinned, Samuel seemed to be getting bored, he hadn't really came out in a long while, Snow was half relieved and half sad. Snow didn't mind Samuel, it was like they were best buds, and he didn't have to say anything for Samuel to know he was having problems. The only part the Snow was uncomfortable with was that Samuel wouldn't let him remember much. It was frightening and a little annoying. Samuel was gay, he liked men, Snow wasn't gay exactly, more like bisexual. He still found girls very attractive.
Turning a corner he heard someone singing, it sounded male, if they were out all alone then they probably didn't want to be bothered. A few steps closer and he could see the boy, who was dancing, or spinning, he couldn't quite tell. Snow wasn't exactly a professional dancer or anything. The boy looked a little younger, or maybe that was just Snow and his height. But then again he was suprised to find others that were taller than him here. Though that didn't have to be too suprising.
Awe he is cute, looks like he is in love too.
Snow shook his head to clear Samuel from him. Snow was intimidated by Samuel sometimes. He was suprised to have heard Samuel being nicer, and not all like, that guy is so feminne for dancing and stuff. Then again Samuel would think that Snow didn't know him well and then he would just be arguing with himself and that was just weird. Sighing lightly at himself he takes a step back so he could leave the boy alone, unless he had already been spotted.
