Hikari wandered alone through the bookstore, looking at the various books. Three days ago, she had heard of the holiday from Cornelia. La Dia-something or other. A day of lovers, apparently, and, in this case, that meant giving a book to someone special. But what, exactly, kind of book was to be given? Hikari had spent the better part of three days deciding that. She knew one thing for sure, though. It wasn't Marcia to whom the book would be given. Hikari had already decided she was over the woman. After all, it wouldn't do to continue to love someone who could never love her back, right? No. Hikari found herself crushing on a different female. With purple hair. And an adorable figure. "What kind of books would Hiketsu like, though?", Hikari thought out loud, looking from book to book in an effort to pick the perfect one.

Things had not being going well. The girl, normally energetic, smirking, a skip in her step, had to practically drag herself into the vast mall. Hiketsu let out a sigh and ran a hand through her hair, indigo eyes casting a glance to the numerous people that crowded the center. She leaned her back against a wall, slightly slumping, pulling her peach sweater down to cover her bandages and her disappearing scars. The young teen was a wreck to put it simply. She couldn't sleep or barely eat, or stay awake during class at all. Every day was a struggle to just get out of bed. But, she knew she had to go on, business to attend to and such. There was tension going on between her family's Yakuza and the one they had previously negotiated with here in Spain. The treaty they had, was broken and a full-blown underground war had broken out. There was causalities to either side, and Tsu had her own share of wounds and marks to bear.
She now had to keep a gun with her at all times because a few of the enemy gang was starting to catch on to her disguise. She was going to have let her hair go back to his original color, and she was going to have to change her last name--- or both her first name and surname for extra precaution. She might even have to leave La Campana, if the situation worsened and her life was even put in more danger.
It was just....it was just too much. Hiketsu pulled at her hair to wake herself up as she was starting to fall asleep. She couldn't. It wasn't safe to be vulnerable out in the open; even if the open was just a busy mall. Pushing herself from the wall, she continued to stagger and tried not to bump into people at random, offering the appropriate words of politeness. She didn't need some 'offended' jack-ass to cause her problems. Her temper was already on the edge, and she wouldn't hesitate to try and K.O. them. Pursing her lips, she continued pushing her way through the crowd of overly talkative and chattery people. She tipped a bit, but steadied herself and looked to the clock. Late afternoon. She should leave in a bit and go get some sleep or some food, whichever came to her first.
Looking to her left, she saw the bookstore and blinked at it. Sighing, she didn't have anything else to do and headed to it, opening the door and letting the AC blast her gratefully. Her blue-purple eyes looked around, quite wondering what to do now. Although she did read....she didn't often like Spanish or English books. And she particularly like the books aimed at her age group. As she rounded the aisles, looking for something decent to read, she heard a quite familiar voice. "What kind of books would Hiketsu like, though?" Why would the person be talking about her. Looking around the corner, she blinked at Hikari. What was Hikari doing here....? Shaking her head she approached the older girl and said, rather blatantly, "Thinking outloud again? Don't you learn Hikari-chan?" Blinking a bit she frowned slightly, not wishing to speak any further. Had to conserve energy.

"WAAAH!", was Hikari's wonderfully eloquent reply as she jumped literally a foot in the air, followed by, "Hiketsu-chan! You nearly gave me a heart attack! You shouldn't sneak up on people like that...", she said, clutching her chest. After catching her breath, she continued, "So, are you here looking for a book as well, Hikari-chan? You look tired... Have you been getting enough sleep? Are you catching a cold? Do you have a fever? Should you be walking around with a fever? Are you nervous about something? Are you hungry?", she asked, each question coming right after the other in a fashion she'd gotten from her mom. Hikari paused in an effort to give Hiketsu time to answer, despite being worried about her.
Hikari looked Hiketsu over. The other girl seemed rather tired, and looked as if she hadn't slept in a long while. That deeply worried Hikari. Why would Hiketsu have had trouble sleeping? "... Hiketsu-chan... Have you been eating enough? I'm sorry... It's rude of me to ask, but you look like maybe you haven't and... Well, to be honest, it really worries me. I think you should probably eat something, and maybe take a nap, because you look like you maybe haven't been sleeping...", she said, "... I should probably shut up now...", she murmured, looking down and sure Hiketsu was mad at her now.
