"Faolan Wolfe, what an interes...ting n-n name." He laughed a little while he spoke. What a name this kid has. He thought his name was funny and cute. He had never heard of such a name. So different and yet interesting. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh like that but your name is so different." Rod took another fork full of some spaghetti. Some of the spaghetti was hang out so he sucked it in and licked his lips clean while looking at Fao. "Oh no its just perfect." He smirked at Fao raising his brow slightly. "Would you like some, I don't mind feeding you." He scooped some more spaghetti and held it in front of Fao's mouth.
Rod waited for Fao to eat the spaghetti. Fao was just so cute while he ate his lettuce like a little rabbit. He wondered what he should do now. He got what he wanted. He yawned a little stretching at the same time. He looked around then back at Fao. He was being so damn cute it was killing Rod. Rod thought of different things to do right now. He wondered if he should continue flirting with Fao. The boy seemed to have calmed down and that kind of made Rod feel bad. He knew it was himself that caused Fao to be afraid and red. But he wondered more about why Fao was afraid. Maybe he would ask Fao of why he was so afraid.

As Rodrick laughed a bit at his name Fao tried to smile with him not wanting to be offended. It wasn't the guy's fault Faolan had a weird name. "Yep, different indeed. My mom named me..." His voice drifted off for a bit and his gaze dropped. But was soon lifted up again as the tall blond spoke again about the food. Then the fork was in front of his mouth and his cheeks instantly flamed. No one had ever fed him in his known memory. Sure probably as a baby or something but the day he learned to feed himself he was never fed again. Or at least that's what he remembered. He opened his mouth slowly and took the forkfull into his mouth. It did taste rather good though he preferred the lettuce. After swallowing he lowered his gaze again ashamed that he was blushing so much. He gripped his tray tightly mentally chastising himself for reacting so badly.
"Um, thank you." The words rushed out as he fiddled with the lettuce not looking up. If he looked up he just knew he'd blush again and he just didn't understand why. Which wasn't entirely true, he knew why, he just wouldn't admit it. "So...like I asked earlier. How come you're all alone? Don't you have some friends to sit with?" He wasn't exactly off to sit with friends either but such a nice looking fellow should have tons of friends. The guy also seemed pleasant enough, so surely he had friends. Fao lifted his gaze finally lifting a piece of lettuce up to nibble on once more his stomach growling at him to just eat already.

Rod watched as Fao ate the spaghetti off of the fork. Yet again the boy blushed and Rod was so enjoying this encounter. He didn't want this to end. He wanted to stretch the time being spent right out. So what's better than getting Fao to sit and chat with Rod. "How about we go sit down some where and talk more?" Rod wanted to talk about the scared shaky thing that was going on with Fao. It was something he was kind of worried about because he cares about Fao even if he's just met him. Though he wanted to sit down because Fao asked him why he was all alone. He really didn't want to stand and talk about stuff like that.
So Rod put the fork on Fao's tray and walked over to the bench in a smooth attractive way. He wasn't afraid of being a smooth flirty cat. He sat down his butt down and patted the space next to him on the bench then looked at Fao. "Come on, park your rear." He had a hint of a smirk forming on his lips but he made sure not to look devilish. He didn't want to scare Fao away. That would just be sad and make Rod pout big time.

At the request to go sit down somewhere the boy's eye widened a bit in surprise. This guy just continued to shock him from the initial begging for food to the feeding him with a fork. Not knowing what to do or say he chose the wisest track for him, keeping his mouth shut. The guy obviously didn't want to talk about why he was standing alone since he'd dodged the question twice now. Fao was not the type of person to press a subject if it was made obvious to him that someone preferred not to address it. Also what did they have to talk about? They were perfect strangers what if they had nothing in common? Course they could find out that they had tons in common, but he didn't think so. Being one to usually keep to himself he was thrown off a bit for the invitation to sit and talk.
His gaze followed the tall blond as he moved to sit and pat the bench beside him. He swallowed hard gripping his tray as tightly as ever. Should he go over and sit? It wasn't like it was going to do him any harm, and the guy was being rather nice to him. But for some reason he just didn't trust that look, or some of the actions of the guy. He didn't understand the source of those actions and certainly didn't consider the fact that the guy might be flirting with him. For in his mind flirting with boys was bad and would end up with a beating. But his father wasn't there, and there was nothing wrong with making a new friend. After a moment's hesitation he went to the bench and sat beside this interesting fellow.
"So...what do you want to talk about? I mean I'm not really that interesting of a person." He mumbled that last part as he picked up his fork and stabbed a few pieces of lettuce. Now that he was sitting his stomach was having a fight as whether he was too nervous to eat or if he was too hungry to care that he was nervous. Besides, why was he nervous in the first place? It was just casual conversation with a perfect stranger. After taking a deep breath he lifted his head to look at the guy full on doing his best not to be nervous. Social butterfly he was not.

"Well I was wondering why you were shaking so much before and why did you flinch every time I touched you." Rodrick tilted his head with a smile. He leaned forward and rested his elbows on his own knee's. Then resting his head on his right hand and used his left hands finger to touch Fao's chin again for a few seconds. Once he removed that hand he smirked again. You'd think he'd get tired of smirking. What person smirks so much. And was this really a time to be acting this way when he's asked something so personal.
He waited for Fao to answer, interested to know what was going on. He wondered why Fao mumbled that last part. He didn't really here it. That was kind of annoying. This kid must really be intimidated by Rod. He kind of like that thought. This was so much fun and possibly going to continue to be more fun. He grinned evilly in his mind. Thinking, 'Maybe I should pick on him a bit.' It's an evil thought but he would go easy on Fao because he likes him. But for now he waits for Fao to react to his first question.

The blunt questions shocked him probably more than anything else the guy had done thus far. Normally were never so forward with such personal questions let alone with a person they'd known a full five minutes. The questions had shocked him so much that his jaw dropped open slightly. A second later a hand was coming toward his face again and he jerked his mouth shut leaning back a little bit in reflex once again. A finger touched his chin and then was gone, and Fao instantly felt foolish for pulling away. The tall blond wasn't there to hurt him he'd made that clear, but over and over Fao reacted in fear. It was humiliating and he bowed his head trying to compose himself once more.
He knew that it was only polite to answer a question addressed to him but he didn't know what to say. He couldn't very well tell Rodrick the truth, no, he couldn't tell anyone that. Certainly not a stranger. After a minute or two he was able to gain some control over his emotions and lifted with head with a bright grin. "Oh, it's nothing. Guess I'm just skittish that's all. I don't really know anyone here, and I'm not used to..." Oh, no what to say next? I'm not used to people being nice to me? I'm not used to people touching me without wanting to hurt me? Neither of those things would suit well, and only cause problems. He hated lying... Scratching the back of his head he laughed softly. "Guess I'm just a loner that's all. Like an animal that hasn't been around people much, not used to it."
There that wasn't exactly lying. His features were bright and his voice lighthearted. Hopefully that would end such personal questioning. Turning back to his lunch he stared down at his food for a moment and realized that he was no longer hungry. Nothing looked appetizing, and his stomach was sour and twisted into knots. Well, if he wasn't going to eat it someone should. He lifted his gaze once more smiling warmly. "Did you want my lunch? I guess I got too much food." To think just moments before he was basically fighting to keep his lunch, and now he was offering it up to a stranger. But there was no need to waste it if the guy was hungry. Besides if the guy was busy eating he couldn't pry anymore, and Faolan wouldn't have to come up with something to cover up the truth again. Not exactly lies, but far from the truth.

Rod raised a brow wondering if that was the truth. He wasn't sure but it was fun to poke at someone about there past even if you don't know them well. "Thats so sad." Waterfall tears flowed down his face, feeling sorry. "Oh sweet Fao, I understand your pain. Lets be friends and end our tragic loneliness." He dramatically said while his arm was around Fao and waving his arm around like a music conductor. He day dreamed for a moment of how lonely poor Fao is.
-Day Dream-
Its raining and Fao is standing in the rain with a umbrella. He looked up at the sky, sighing. "I'm so lonely." He shivers a bit as it is chilly and he didn't care to wear a warm coat. Sad chello music played in the background of this day dream. He looked around seeing couples around him. He wondered threw the park looking down at the ground. Tired of walking, he sat down on a bench not caring about it being wet. "This sucks, if only I had someone to keep me company." A tear falling down his face. A hand seemed to come out of know where to whip his tear away. He looked up to see a beautiful blonde. The light seemed to glow around him. "Don't cry little boy I am your knight in shinning armor, here to save you from your tragic loneliness." Holds his hand out to the boy. "Come with me and we shall be friends!"
-End of day dream-
"Yeah, just like that." He chuckled goofily as he was so into his day dream. He woke up realizing what was happening. He cleared his throat feeling embarrassed. He looked at the food when Fao asked him if he wanted the rest of the food. Rod smiled big at the offer of food. Taking the tray right away and stuffing his face. "No I couldn't, so good." He held one hand to his face loving the taste. "This is so good. Your such a sweet heart." He began to think, maybe he shouldn't pick on Fao. This was just to nice. His sad day was washed away by his little hero.

What was the guy saying? What was he doing? Jostled a bit by the sudden arm being around him and the other arm waving around Fao nearly dropped his tray. Sweet Fao? Tragic loneliness? Where was this guy getting these lines? He stared up at the taller boy in slight confusion thrown off track by the physical touch once more. The guy obviously did not believe in personal bubbles. "Friends?" That one word held so much hope, confusion, and a hint of defiance. As though he didn't believe, wouldn't believe that someone wanted to be his friend. Back home because of his father no one wanted to be his friend, no one dared. But here being so far away it was a different world.
While the blond was off in lala land Fao was focused on his own thoughts. Could he be friends with such a rambunctious boy? Someone with such vibrant motions, speech, and actions? The guy left him blushing, baffled, and practically out of breath. He was nothing like anyone he'd ever met before and he didn't know how to act. But the more he sat there and thought about the short time they'd spent with each other he found it was new. All of it was new to him and though it scared him he liked it. He didn't want to be alone. He didn't want the same thing day after day stuck in the hole his stepfather had dug for him. Another aspect of being friends with this rather odd character was the fact that Fao was pretty sure the guy would make him smile. Perhaps even laugh. Two things he held on very high levels because his mother had always told him: laughter was medicine for the soul, and a smile was a rare jewel that should be shared with the world.
His mother didn't laugh very much after his father died, and very rarely did she smile. When he left she kissed his cheek and whispered, "Find someone who'll make you smile. I don't care who they are, where they're from, or what sex they are. Just find someone to make you smile. If you can't find that then life isn't worth it." His step father never made her smile, so at the time her words meant nothing to him. He was angry at her for letting him get sent away, and angry at the world for making him different. For making him the son his family didn't want.
A shadow had descended upon his features for a short time while Rodrick day dreamed. When the guy snapped out of his dream Fao smiled and offered the food. The blond took it happily shoving the food in as though he were starving, which he probably was by now. Sitting there watching the guy he was somewhat shocked by being called a sweet heart. His face softened a bit as he remembered his mother once more, then his step father. Being sweet was what got him sent here in the first place. "I'm glad you like it. At least someone gets to enjoy it." Kindness was easy, smiling a cinch. Meaning any of it? Nearly impossible.

Rod tapped shoulders with Fao. Smiling down at him, then a brow raised. "Your suppose to say, 'Why yes Rod I would love to be your friend' And yet you brushed it off." He leaned back with his arms holding him up. He looked up at the sky, still smiling. He looked down at the empty plate on the tray. He looked down thinking a little. Some stray hair rest on his face and it tickled. He moved it out of the way and looked straight. "Fao I would like to become your sword, shield and armor. So I may scare off any monsters, shield you from the scary stuff and keep you safe from harm." A short laugh. "I know that sounds corny but you seem like you need a really good friend and I'm that friend."
Rod scratched the back of his neck then leaning forward, resting his arms on his legs looking down on the ground. "I know we have only just met and its hard to believe that one could become friends just like that, but you should believe." He looked at Fao smiling again pushing his glasses back in position as they had slipped again. He wondered if Fao will say yes. It wasn't like he was asking him out or something. Though Rod does have feelings for Fao, love at first sight. Though he knew Fao didn't feel that way, well yet. First its friendship then its love. Well thats what Rod hoped for.

Smiling at Rodrick’s words he bowed his head for a moment not at all used to such a forward approach to life. The next string of words that hit his ears had his head and eyes jerking up to that face. Never before had he heard such words spoken in real life let alone addressed to him in such a sincere fashion. His expression was shocked, confusion, and in awe that someone would just come out and say such a thing. He searched for a lie, searched for a hint that the guy was kidding, but he wasn’t really seeing any sign of either of those things.
For the longest time he sat there silent and in shock lost for words. All he’d done was walk up to a stranger and ask him a question, and now the guy wanted to be his knight in shining armor. A friend, a true friend to be by his side no matter what. ”I’d like that…I’d like that very much.” His hands were clasped in his lap holding onto each other as though he might fly apart. He’d never really had a friend before specially not one like the gentleman beside him. But was it ok to be friends? They seemed so different from the short time they’d spent together. The other boy was so exuberant, strong, and confident while Fao was the exact opposite.
”So, what do friends do?” The words had slipped out before he could stop them and he instantly regretted it. Such pathetic sounding words, so weak. ”I mean as new friends what should we do?” He pushed another bright smile as he tugged on his left thumb feeling like a complete idiot.
