His hands itched to fiddle with something, but he kept them locked between his legs. Dustin was a nice boy though he was a tad close for Fao’s comfort zone, but it wasn’t horrible just slightly uncomfortable. Lifting his head he watched the other boy as he closed his eyes and listened quietly as the words floated through the quiet library. From the sounds of it he was a happy, light hearted fellow, but if he had chosen to ran away then not everything was rainbows in his life. Course there were many reasons to run away from something he shouldn’t just jump to conclusions.
“I don’t think I’d have the guts to run away, so yes you are brave.” Instead he was sent away like a pet they no longer wanted around. “And I am also pleased that you are glad you met me. I have to say I am happy that I met you as well. Better to sit and talk with you than sit by myself.” He smiled slightly trying to be as perky as the boy beside him. When Dustin leaned against him Faolan’s chest twisted and his eye went wide. People just didn’t do this sort of stuff, especially not to him.
His heart was racing with nerves and if his hands would have been free they would have been shaking for sure. He really didn’t want to be rude or scare the boy off or ruin any chance to be friends, but he was about to have a panic attack. “Um…I’m not very good with…uh…p-people. Not around them much. D-do a lot of people get this close?” Mouth like the Sahara he swallowed trying to get the saliva flowing again.
Why was he so nervous? Why was he reacting this way? It was just some random boy sitting next to him no big deal. No, boy’s weren’t supposed to be this close, and certainly boy’s did not have their heart race like this when another boy pressed up against them. No, he was over reacting. He needed to just calm down; he was such a spaz.

"Running away isn't that brave" It was far from. It was scary as hell, and even more so really. Dustin remembered the first time he ran away. Running all over the city at midnight, hiding under the back car seat when the cop looked in...and coming to some rundown house next to a old looking barn. He still remembered, it was winter time and snowing softly when he stumbled into that house at 3 am. He was greeted by aged faces filled with suspision, but within moments it melted away to smiles. It was a safe-house for runaways, he spent a month there when he was 12.
This time was different though. He had snuck out during a rainy day, he couldn't forget it. Running through puddle filled streets, with only a small backpack with some clothes, passport and the money he spent a year gathering. Dustin was hskaing when he boarded alone, and as he flew away from teh city of lights, the boy will admit he trembled so much it brought him to tears. Even if it was a disgusting home, it was still home that he was leaving again.
The memory mades the child shiver and he leaned more towards the warmth that came from Fao...that is till he spoke. A large blush spread on Dustin's plae face and he quickly pulled away, moving so he wasn't right against the other, forcing out a weak 'sorry'. It took the young male a moment but then he gave a weak smile. "er..no..not usually. I'm just a weird person..." He paused and frowned. "er no, I lied. People here do get very close..." With a faint smile again, he gave the other male a soft hug before leaning away to give him space. "If it bothers ya...Just say so! Don't wanna make ya awkward!" The child gave a wide grin, his fears mealting away cause he was here now. He was safe.

Hearing those words Fao felt a bit guilty for saying that it was brave, but hadn’t Dustin just said that it was? He was merely agreeing with the boy, and he personally agreed. It took strength and courage to escape, to take a stand for yourself by deciding that one wasn’t going to take it anymore. He’d once had a friend, almost six years ago, who one day was there and the next day he was gone. The boy’s parents had called hoping that the child had run to hide with Fao, but he hadn’t. No, the boy had run from everything including the person who was supposed to be his best friend.
He didn’t know where Dustin’s mind was going off to, but he’d felt the shiver and then the pressing of the boy’s body against his. Both of those actions probably were signs of bad thoughts, but he wasn’t going to press it. At the boy’s reaction to his question he felt guilt weighing his chest down even more. Seemed like he couldn’t say anything right his expression fell with the continuation of the boy’s words. He was a bit tense at the sudden hug but as the boy moved away he suddenly felt cold.
“I-I did not mean for you to pull away so much. I-I j-j-just not used to it is all.” Fao started to reach out a hand but jerked it back. No, touching boys was prohibited. Hand in a fist he was lost as to what to do because he wanted a friend, and human contact but he was taught not to want it. Biting his lip he twisted to sit back the way he was tucking his hand back under his leg. “Sorry…I didn’t mean to make things awkward.” He officially felt like a fool.
Staring at the floor he sighed unhappily. "People don't touch me it's as simple as that, so I guess I was just thrown off that you were. I didn't mean to upset you." He spoke softly and really felt like disappearing. He couldn't even behave around people right how could he make friends if he couldn't even do that much?

Dustin watched the boy silently, unable to react. This boy was stranged, yet amusing. There was many ways to describe the child beside him, one of them amusing, the other beautiful. Dustin wasn't worried to say such things to people, espically males. He loved to make others feel well, and words like that were the best. His smile grew, hand reaching out to gently squeeze the boy's. "I'm sorry." His eyes watched the child, thumb stroking the top of the boy's hand as he leans towards the child, whispering to him.
"People should touch you more...you look like you could use more hugs" Dustin grinned, oddly feeling flustered. This boy, he brought something out in Dustin, so quickly. He is a caring boy, always the caretaker. He treats eveyrone he knows like they are fragil dolls and had to be cradeled. He was protective, always so protective of his friends. This child, he was no different. He was so sweet, so small in Dustin's eyes. He wanted to wrap his arms around him and keep him safe. It was clear to see his boy was hurt, everyone that is here has been hurt.
He pulled his hand awya, placing it on his knee as he gently shook his head. "You didn't upset me..You just made me realize something." His voice fell at teh words and his hand lifted again to pat the male's shoulder. "I wanna be your friend..please? You're really sweet, and cute!" His voice melted with a laugh, his long hair falling to shield his face as he lend forward. "I'm such a weirdo!" He looked up and brushed some hair behind his ear, grinning widely. "What'cha say?'

The other boy’s hand on his made his gaze slowly roll back to Dustin still a little thrown off that someone was touching him, and being so kind to him. The whispering made his chest tighten slightly which confused him, but he tried to ignore it. This boy was being so nice to him and the close proximity was nice even if it did throw him off. It was nice to be close to someone again, physically that is, they weren’t close in any other way just yet. Though he did hope that they might become friends the boy seemed really nice, and kind of shy like he was. Also the physical contact reminded him of a happier time. A time where his mother still cared about him, and he had a father that loved him.
Turning his gaze back down to the floor he shut his eyes putting him in complete darkness. Sometimes he liked sitting with his eyes closed it put the world into balance. With only have one eye that worked put more work on the one eye that did work and could tire him out. When he closed both eyes it was like the world wasn’t off balance anymore. He sat there listening to the boy talk wondering what he’d made the boy realize. It wasn’t like he inspired people or anything or caused them to have epiphanies. His eyes popped opened at the request and he lifted his head to stare at the boy with his one clear blue eye.
“You want to be friends? “ The other two parts of that sentence had him almost blushing again, and he did end up bowing his head slightly embarrassed. After a second or two he lifted his gaze again with a slight, but warm, smile. Lifting his hand slowly he went to brush aside the hair but stopped and dropped his hand pulling in once more. “You’re not a weirdo. I think you’re really nice, and I…I want to be your friend too.”
He also liked the other boy’s somewhat long hair, but he wasn’t about to say that out loud let alone admit it to himself. Fao wrapped his arms around his legs resting his chin on his knees for a moment before turning his attention back to Dustin. I’m really glad you tripped over me. If you hadn’t I’d have never met you, and now I have a new friend. Funny how things work out, huh?”
Okay, that was a little lame but at least he was talking without stuttering. He smiled brightly at the other boy finally starting to feel at ease, and he even scooted a bit so he could be closer to the boy. If Dustin liked to be close then he could stand being a little closer friends did that for each other, right?
((ooc. No worries, I understand life happens. And it did NOT suck I thought it was very sweet.))

Dustin had moved amyn times in life. Every time he moved he had to start his life over again. It was never easy, espically with trying to feel at home. Here at LaCampana, he has always felt at home. It was so easy for him to relax here, to be himself. Dustin loved waking up here every morning, where as at home he regretted every time he opened his eyes. Here, moments were so priceless, like now, sitting with Fao. It was something so simply, yet it filled him with hope.
""Well people should touch you more....damn that is awkward" He gave a soft giggle, leaning over towards the male, a hand gently touching the boy's face. He was so pale, but so very cute. Grinning weakly, he pecks the boy's cheek, fingers running though the other's dark locks. He gave a soft hum and brushed his lips on teh younger's cheek once more before pulling away, laughing softly. "Sorry...Just a bit out of it!" His words dyed down but his smile stayed soft as he tilted his head.
" I am glad I tripped over you...and I'm glad you're so cute!" He gives a laugh and presses his back against the wall, eyes watching Fao closely, curious to teh boy's reaction towards his words. He liked this boy, he wanted to be friends, but to do that he had to know what he was like. It was easy to tell what someone was like by their reactions to such things. That, and looking at someon's eyes, and his was quite beautiful. "Tell me..about you?"

Yet again Dustin voiced that Fao should be touched more and his cheeks tinged quickly, but he ended up laughing a bit with the other boy. It was obvious to at least Fao that the boy didn’t mean it in the way it came out, and if he did Fao wouldn’t know it. He was just starting to get relaxed sitting there next to the boy when a hand touched his face and he reacted with instinct: flinching. But then it wasn’t just fingers against his skin but lips. The only way he knew it was lips was because he remembered back when his mother would kiss him on the cheek. Eye going wide he turned his head in surprise to stare at Dustin. Other than his mother no one had ever shown him such affection and he was dumb founded as to what to do.
He opened his mouth to talk to form some sort of protest because boys weren’t supposed to do this. Not even friends, or friends that were super close which they weren’t, not yet. Then the other boy kissed his cheek again and Fao just about fainted on the spot. His face was as red as it could possibly get and his jaw was hanging open in shock. Blinking quickly he shut his mouth tightly jerking his gaze to the floor his throat dry and constricted. He was socially awkward to begin with, never got close to people, and now he was getting little pecks on the cheek. Where had all this come from? And Dustin kept insisting that he was cute, which did not help in the blushing.
Rubbing his hands on his legs he bit his lip trying desperately to think of something to do, to say, anything at all. It was a blank every time he tried to talk and when he didn’t try his mind was going a million miles per hour. Finally he was at least able to look at Dustin again from the corner of his eye his hands gripping tightly to his pant legs. Now that the small kisses had stopped he was slowly regaining composure and he turned a little to look the boy more dead on.
“M-mm-me? Uh…w-w-what d-d-di-did you wa-wa-want t-t-to know?” He cursed in his head at the stuttering and bowed his head closing his eyes for a moment. Come on you can do this just breathe. There’s nothing wrong he’s just being friendly. It’s probably a part of his culture or something. “Well, I d-don’t really know w-w-what to say. W-what about y-you? Any random t-tid bits you might l-like to share?”
No that wouldn’t do he had to say something. He opened his eyes and glanced over at Dustin. ”I’m s-sixteen, have three siblings, never been in a relationship, and love movies.” There that was something to start things off with at least. He hated small talk, especially when he was so frazzled which he blamed on Dustin’s words, and those darn kisses. What to do about those darn kisses…
